the part where you said these guys used to be relatable youtubers really hit home. i used to watch mrbeast's vids back when he only had around 100k subs and all he would do is skits or relatable videos of him talking abt things or covering drama. but now after hearing all the shit that is happening behind the scenes of the content he makes, how he has grown his brands to be absolutely massive. how he portrays a personal image that is no longer centering around relatability but instead around philanthropy and wealth and the observation you made too about how there must be something missing in their life to actually desire this level of wealth, influence, fame, recognition. it makes perfect sense considering how his lunchly brand partner reacted to criticism from dantdm. it was a criticism of the quality of his brand item, but the dude took it personal instead, which is a symptom of having a large ego and high pride even in the creation of a fucking lunchable knockoff i sometimes think back and go like "damn i cant believe this is the same guy doing all these things" 💀
