Thank you so much! You made my day! Scott did an amazing job with the portrait, and these pens just make me want to make beautiful things with them all day.

I love those mother of pearl slabs on old Watermans, Aikin Lambert and Wirt pens. Hope I’ll be able to get my hands on one someday. Will definitely be the crown jewel of my collection. I wish they still made pens like this.

Aren't they just lovely? Actually, I'm glad they don't make pens like this anymore. The old ones are so well made and so much better made than new ones would be (thanks to late stage capitalism), and have so much history and depth, and they're much less expensive than what a company would charge today because of the economy of scale. Adorable user name, btw.

I really enjoy your videos and these pens, especially the last two. Just for the joy of writing with an early 1900s fountain pen, a very unique experience that highlights the pleasure in the art of writing. Hopefully you will bring us with more videos like this.

Thank you so much, and I'm so glad that you're enjoying the videos! There should be plenty more to come! I'm planning on doing more in this series of pens that I haven't covered yet that also secretly have things in common, and the next video will be different, but still be related to this idea of different pens that are secretly or not so secretly related. I can't wait to make it!

Nice pens! Are those gold nibs?

Thank you so much! They are indeed all 14K gold flexible nibs. All of my pens, with the exception of only a couple, are vintage, and all have flexible 14K gold nibs with the exception of maybe one or two that have manifold nibs, but they're still 14K gold.
