Three-toed sloths are some of the slowest and seemingly laziest creatures in the world. Instead of evolving to eat more, they evolved to do less.

Evolved? Really? Are you sure this could happen by chance? Ask some questions. Was it designed by an orderly creator or exist by chance?
@101trus2 жыл бұрын
Go look up early human . You can find 8 different types of early human and see that they progressively looked more and more like us. Evolution is most certainly real… here’s another good one… we know that the dinosaurs existed millions of years ago right? We know they were killed in a series of cataclysmic events. Yet man was no where to be seen at that time.. you know why? Because we evolved much later!
@shanoysewelle84622 жыл бұрын
@Alex Taylor Yes because this "orderly creator" doesn't have the same logic as existing by chance as well as its knowlegde🙄
@Vac700R Жыл бұрын
@@alextaylor8011 Yes, evolve. Many herbivores and most omnivores that eat mainly vegetation have to spend hours per day of eating to have energy to operate daily. Sloth evolves to move as little as possible so they don't have to spend so much time of the day grazing.

Actually it's specifically natural selection that made them this way. There used to be giant sloths that died off about 10000 years ago. The ones that remain adapted to living on the trees and living off very low-calorie diet, hence the slowness.

They are so helpless and defenseless especially when on the ground, but so well adapted to living in the trees. They have that built in smile that triggers a response in most normal humans, they have possibly the cutest babies i have ever seen. Just a remarkable species. We are so good at wiping out whole populations of animals all you can do is say a prayer and hope they'll still be here in a few generations. The world would be a much lesser place without them

One thing you can appreciate about a sloth is they know how to take their time and enjoy life. They know how to stop and smell the flowers. They aren't in a rush like many humans are...Rushing just to get to a red light....God uses rhe follish things of this world to confound the wise. ...Great depiction of a sloth in the movie Zootopia

I have a couple of photos when I was helping dog. Need to find the pics.

No joke..it slid down from the tree and right up to the glass..I had a blue small light on my key ring...it was a rattler from America..Lizards are good.. Friend has some snakes as pets....but they need monitoring and proper feeding..need a permit and only responsible owners should keep a snake. Bearded dragon is a popular pet.

If it had evolved to digest its food this slow, it would of been extinct before it got there. That's just the way God made them. He knew exactly what environment He put them in. He knew exactly how his digestive system should work. This is another reason why evolution just looks so fictional.
@beautyns128 жыл бұрын
...and yes, Zootopia brought me here...lol.
@brianh.stastny63977 жыл бұрын
Norma Summers, if your assumption were true, the digestive system of sloths would be the same today as it had been millions of years ago, which is simply not true. Today's scientific methods can clearly prove the changes that took place over millions of years. Evolution is a process, a species evolves to adapt better to their environment which, in turn, also evolves. But hey, who would seriously expect you to think scientifically? After all, you're into a psychotic delusion called god, LOL. Luckily, evolution will also eradicate silly brainfarts such as deities.
@victorrene38527 жыл бұрын
Brian H. Stastny sounds a fantasy to say how things were like a millions years ago. His digestive system adapting doesn't prove Darwinian evolution.. there is no dispute in living beings adapting but there is no proof a species changing into a whole other species. believing sloths just decided to move slower and change its own diet to survive is hilarious because it would have died in the very long supposed process..
@brianh.stastny63977 жыл бұрын
Victor Rene , I didn't even attempt to prove evolution because it is as obvious as gravity, thus doesn't need proof. Nor did I ever contend that one species can become another species. Moreover, nobody assumes sloths made a (conscious) decision to change their diet; rather, a low-energy diet leads of course to slowing down metabolic processes and a loss of unnecessary muscle mass. Not in one individual, but very slowly and gradually over thousand and thousands of generations in the species as a whole.
@victorrene38527 жыл бұрын
Brian H. Stastny you assumed it because you already ate the bs fantasy that was fed to you that you are repeating. There is no real proof of that type of evolution just fantasy in between the lines where you must use your imagination. I never claimed they said it was all done in one sloth but the myth of millions of years that took place for it to happen and the joke that there is no evidence because it was so slow or too fast that there wouldn't be any evidence.. Sounds like snake oil salesman. There is plenty to question of evolution but if one can't admit that then such person is a fool.. Its funny that people question almost everything in academia but not evolution.. Adaptation does happen but the our origins as explained by evolution is bs.
