You are inspirational. I don't have the STUFF to do this, but you sure have me wanting to make the Miss You Beary Much one of ray grand daughters. You are adorable and I love your joyful presentation.

Is the staz on pigment ink different than the normal one?
@RebeccaKeppel3 жыл бұрын
It is still a solvent ink like the regular Staz On, but as a pigment it has a longer dry time and sits thicker on the surface making it perfect for heat embossing on non-porous surfaces. I have another video using it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZbNlGh-iZWhbrs

Hello from Dallas. I tried making my first shaker card two years ago. I came running to the living room to show my husband. Every bit of that arghrgh glitter leaked out in his lap. I’ve never tried it again. I want to make them for my grandkids so badly. Where might I have gone wrong? Thanks, Deb

It’s important to make sure the shaker well has no gaps between the pieces of foam, and that the back and front of the shaker are sealed all the way around. You could try using glitter with larger pieces, or sequins, to reduce the risk of leaks.
@RebeccaKeppel3 жыл бұрын
Oh no! Poor you and poor husband! No one wants glitter everywhere! Yes, as Priscilla said, the foam tape needs to meet up so there is no space between them. That's why I like to do simple shapes like rectangles where it is easy to see if I am getting the foam pieces to connect closely enough. If I want to get fancy with shapes...I use the Queen and Co kits lol!

I like what you did, but why did you use acetate sheets to stamp on. Was there a particular reason or just experimenting?
@RebeccaKeppel3 жыл бұрын
This way you can have a stamped and colored shaker window!
@susanhunter82723 жыл бұрын
@@RebeccaKeppel Sorry, just a little new to this! Thanks.
@RebeccaKeppel3 жыл бұрын
@@susanhunter8272 no reason to be sorry! Welcome to cardmaking! Usually shaker windows are just plain...windows lol! But with the Staz On ink you can actually stamp an image on them! Unfortunately though the ink is not great for quality markers like Copics so as ScrapofKindness mentioned, you can get a faux stained glass effect by flipping it over and coloring the back. Or like I did in the other cards, it lets you color the back with embossing powder or alcohol inks, which work perfect on the acetate AND you can still see the stamped image from the front! Hope that makes sense!

The measurements are why I'm not a fan of Scor-Pal. the Martha Steward board has been out for at least as long, and has ALWAYS had measurements in 1/8" increments.

I recently upgraded to the 1/8ths measurments of the score pal and I am much happier now!

@@RebeccaKeppel To me, it's kind of like Swype on the iPhone. Apple finally got Swype for their keyboard and Apple users raved about it - 4 years after Android had it. I paid less for the MS one and always had the features I needed - no need to spend the extra for something that didn't work THEN upgrade.
