Three ways to make your language classrooms more inclusive

In this workshop, the speaker started by introducing the term ‘Arts Integrated Learning’ (AIL), highlighting its focus in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Emphasising the importance of AIL and clarifying that it doesn’t only cater to visual arts (painting), the speakers discussed various activities that can be used across grades to integrate art to teach language. Ranging from ‘Verbs with Warli’ to ‘Warli art storytelling’ and using poems like Haiku, the session introduced various interesting ways language teachers could explore to teach language in a more inclusive way.
