hello sir! i am soon turning sixteen, so a part of me- driven by sentiment, naturally- was compelled to reply here. i discovered the joys of this artist not an hour ago. but even so i found myself enraptured by the instrumentals, by the vocals, anything of this sort… the sounds for their own sake. i hope to listen even into my sixties, like you, sir. it is a break from my normal tastes, as i in recent years found myself tending towards the mathematical and modular feel of japanese or korean, but it is pleasant to the ear nonetheless! you really can’t beat western riffs…

This song helps me with my anger issues. This with hardcore gym workout takes the rage out of me. I always feel so calm and better after. If you struggle with anger issues, they won't go away just by breathing as your therapist says, only short therm. You have to burn it all out, go to a gym, let the rage overwhelm you and run, punch, lift. After a few weeks you will observe a massive mood improvement. Best of luck!

agreed. Anger is not to be tamed, but to be let out, to roam and run wild and to burn down forests of pain and guilt and when it is done it slithers back into its hole, to that secluded part of the mind, till the stench of the guilt rotting inside you is too much to take and it tries to force itself out. But then, that the way is not to resist, it is to re-iterate.

This song means a lot to me, my mom struggled with drug addiction all throughout my childhood, I was never in her care due to that reason, I was raised by my grandmother but she'd visit when she could, she really loved me and was never under the influence of anything around me, It always hurt to see her leave because I never knew when I'd see her again, but she loved to show me songs she'd found on KZbin and this was the first ever song I can remember her showing me, It's what started my love for metal music and dark themes in media, without her I might be a whole different person today, she's been clean since I was 12 or so and she finally settled down and got married in 2021, I cried that day and I can't thank her enough I'm so incredibly proud of her I love her with every fiber of my being and thanks so much to Three Days Grace for kick starting who I am now.

This song brings back memories, my sisters loved three days grace when we were kids and as a toddler I listened to this for the first time with my sisters. for a long time that was the last memory I had with them, they moved out when I was 4 and my sisters were 14 and 16, for a long time I cried whenever I heard this song because it reminded me that one day they were with me and the other they were gone. They were the only family that really cared about me other than my grandpa. I got back into contact with them in 2021 and we see each other about once a month.

Best Three Days Grace song ever. Best alt-metal song ever. Best song ever? Often as I come back to it? Hell yeah. Vocals are beyond amazing. Drums are killing it. And the bass and guitar are the perfect example of learning how to play totally badass power chords and super heavy alt metal songs. And the lyrics are just perfect. It just never gets old. Ever.

This song is definitely about struggling with addiction or a disorder. Look at the way he wakes up and already his self is screaming at him. Listen to the lyrics, look at the singers history with rehab. Too often it's overlooked as just a Rawr xD song, which it was for many people, but we forget to appreciate the artists turning negative experiences into a relatable and cathartic song for those who need it most. I love this band.

@@raglanheuser1162 I'm no fan of the bourgeoisie myself, but addiction and mental illnesses affect people of all financial classes and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. And I'm sure this song has comforted many of them. The singer struggled through a horrible addiction to alcohol if I'm not mistaken. If he hadn't worked hard to convert and direct that energy into something positive, then we wouldn't have this song. I think at least a little gratitude or appreciation for their art is in order.

I lost how many times I tried to improve throughout the years only to relapse over over again destroying my body on the process while getting older and watching my entire life and younger years slip through my fingers. Everytime I try to put at end to it, it's only a matter of time before I crash hard again in this never ending hellish depressing cycle of self destruction.
