I remember watching the original clip where Shila said that she came from a small country, Malaysia. Hearing that, makes me proud of being a Malaysian. And she's competing with top singer like GEM Tang, if you are not a good singer, that was like either do or die. We should promote and push more talented singer like her to represent our country at international level, like Philipines are the powerhouse ASEAN country in beauty pageant. Despite the fact they are a small country too but well recognized in international pageant. Sadly, I think Malaysia don't have enough noise, support, promotion, or major sponsors although we have a lot of powerhouse local singer. Ballad ~ Shila Amzah, Idayu, Marsha, Aina Abdul, Ernie Zakri etc. Rock ~ Azlan The Typewriter, Aweera And this list is on the mainstream, which I believe there will be lots of underrated singer.

Wow.. Thank you for reacting to this performance. One of my favorite too which made me memorised and tried singing the song to my heart's content😝😝😝. Malaysian singers (I am excluding those of Chinese-descent such as Gary Chaw, Fish Leong etc in this conversation) that I know are actually very great singers (emphasis on 'I know' because I do not know a lot - I like to listen to english and chinese songs more); just that they have a hard time breaking into the international market...i don't know whether it is because they like the comfort zone they are in or just the lack of opportunities which is a pity... Shila was one of the few that dared took those first steps to try breaking the mold by joining variety show-liked competitions like this in other countries without knowing much of the language and singing songs in other languages besides english and malay so that people in that country can relate... therefore more exposure.. Other singers I see often only appear as guests in festivals - which means one and done. It's great that you are reacting to her and re-introducing her to other audiences. Recommendation of other Malaysian singers trying to make it in the Mando-pop market: Firdhaus (Gulf of Alaska) - this is NICE! and he wrote the song (link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYaToHuYhZmNes0) and Jeryl Lee (李佩玲) - she is an Indian adopted by Chinese parents and joined a lot of competitions in China too and that at a young age (link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIi7ZYqFaJ6Drbc)

her original song to react : Masih Aku Cinta (AJL performance), Zai Jian bu Zai Jian, Tentang Rahsia (ft Judika), KITA (Merdeka Song in Malay n Mandarin), i want you to react to this one which is Raungan Suara (Speechless) Original Soundtrack of Aladdin 2019 but it was a Malay dub song !
