Great reaction! This performance was from a Russian show that aired last fall, and ran for 9 weeks. There were 9 singers who were also the judges and critiqued each other. There were 9 genres of music they had to perform over the course of the show. Thus Diana sang in many different styles. Diana's voice has a surreal quality to it. It's quite addicting too. People say she has polyphonic overtones and you can hear this in her sound and it's confusing. Diana sang this September 2021 and was 18 at the time. She turned 19 May 31st 2022. She studies at The Russian Institute of Theatre Arts (GITIS) in Moscow. Diana has always had a voice way, way beyond her years. She has a Beatles song (Oh Darling) on her official KZbin channel when she was 10 years old and you can hear a deep, powerful, beautiful voice way beyond a normal ten year old girl's ability. She was 18 here. Here are three reasons why Diana (the Queen of Goosebumps) doesn't sound human. First, she is a contralto, which is the absolute rarest type of female voice. It allows her to sing very dramatic/powerful, very (I mean VERY) deep, very dark, very rich. Second, she has a spectacular larynx. She's been called the vocal Eighth Wonder of the World. Third, she is polyphonic, which means she can produce multiple harmonics within her voice at the same time. This is what allows her to sound like two people at once. I call it her internal auto-tuner, but its to do with the amount of resonance Diana can create out of literal thin air. interesting you mention cathedrals because the christian faith outlawed certain notes as being pagan and evil, so westerners stuck to the major key culturally for a while, but the bass notes fascination stayed with Russian culture, you need only look at the male voice choirs of Russian orthodox church for evidence of this, that's why minor key feels the way it does to this day, a good band that demonstrates that is Heilung (healing)
