These sorts of days are the ones that make me keep going fishing even if I get skunked day after day. You never know when you’re gonna have a great day fishing.

I am a northerner and have never fished the gulf coast. But I have felt the exact same heart-in-the-throat excitement during heavy mayfly hatches, or drifting to thrashing spawning steelhead, or during a striped bass blitz. Very happy for you!

Thresher you the man I was lucky enough to experience one of those days were the sides of the port A jetties were black with bait and Bonita tarpon and kingfish lined the jetties probably the craziest day of fishing I've ever had . Thanks for the vid and always Tightlines.

Coop - I lived in CC for two years - one year on a canal, and was not into kayak fishing then. I was 25 and single and chasing some other species, if you know what I mean. Love the videos, the commentary, the adventure and the catch and cook. Now I am 50 and would love to have those years back. Keep it up, bro. I will be there in July with some fishing buddies for a trip - king fishing during the day, night fishing the N. Padre canals. Hope to run into you.

I've fished like this in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. Early spring and late fall. Lake trout and northern pike hitting every lure on almost every cast .. My dad caught a 35 pound lake trout on that trip.

I've taken that jetty boat shuttle over to the north jetty and fished the jetty and off St. Joe Island a long time ago. Lot's of Spanish Mackerel over there.
