You just named three of my favorite bands of all-time my friend. I'm 19 now, but I'm lucky I got into good music at a young age. I never went through the Brokencyde or Nickleback obsessions some kids had to endure. I listened to some shitty music back in the day, but these bands made me into the musician I am today.

I first heard Counting 5-4-3-2-1 in 2007 or 2008 I think, but I only knew a couple songs by them until last Christmas when I got No Devolucion. It's a masterpiece. I also got Major/Minor, and caught Thrice on their farewell tour. I wish I had got into them sooner, but none of my friends are really into this kind of music so I was never really exposed. Thrice definitely helped expand my musical tastes a lot. I just recently discovered Brand New, and they're my new obsession in the same vein lol

Bingo. I saw them play twice in 2011 (FC anniversary tour and their farewell tour in Boston) and have been a fan since '04. They shaped my taste in music! Good observation!

Lol I'm west coast, but I subscribed to you. It took me a long time to get into Radiohead because it's really a musical experience rather than the traditional musical approach that everything on the radio conditions us to at an early age. All it took was actually sitting down and listening to Kid A all the way through. I was hooked after that. Kinda like Thrice and Major/Minor lol, even though Vheissu's my favorite of theirs.

When you open your mind to more musical, creative experiences, your taste in music will quickly mature. I've found myself really digging the tones of Balance and Composure and O'Brother lately. I just love that big, distorted sound. But, I always find myself mixing in the more musical acts of Radiohead and the softer sounds like Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes as well. Having an open and eclectic taste in music is of the utmost importance and will enhance your listening experience!

I've been playing drums for almost six years now! I have a few covers up on my channel. Nothing special. I'll be posting some newer, hopefully more impressive ones in the upcoming weeks. I'm recording some tomorrow (technically today since it's 2am) and I think they'll turn out alright. Looking at covering some Balance and Composure, Touche Amore, Fireworks, and some other good stuff. Also, Radiohead is INCREDIBLE. One of the most talented bands ever.

Ahhh I thought it was a live concert. Makes more sense this way I suppose since they did a DVD right after the Alchemy Index so recently ago.

Lol I'm 18 and I will admit to having a Nickelback phase. I still like their older stuff (The State was great), and I do have a soft spot for them, but a lot of bands in the genre I just can't stand (Puddle of Mudd, 3 Doors Down, etc.). I even ventured into Radiohead this year, and I used to hate them. I also play drums and a little guitar, what do you play?
