This album is the absolute greatest. First listen - my ears just couldn’t take in all the variations of sounds and tempos - but second, third and now fourth listen - officially Thrice’ greatest album yet. Right there with Vheissu and Alchemy Index. Just incredible.

It’s one thing to get experimental, but it’s another thing entirely to make whatever this is and slap your bands name on it. Thrice has been my band for a very long time and I’ve always been down for their avant-garde tendencies. In fact it’s what I’ve loved most about them, but this album might as well be made by a different band cuz there’s barely anything “Thrice” about it and I can’t enjoy it. I had to force myself through listening to it and that makes me very VERY sad

Haven’t had a good album since Beggars. Really got turned off when Dustin was encouraging posting bail for all the rioters last summer. Their music for the last decade has been the most dull, mind numbing garbage. And no, I’m not one of those, “play deadbolt!” people. I used to love Thrice. And I loved their experimental tendencies. But the last 3-4 albums have all sounded the same to me. Too bluesy, Dustin’s voice too whiny, lacking in the atmosphere that defined Thrice. Sorry, I’m a lapsed fan.
@DrShrimpPuertoRicoMD3 жыл бұрын
This one I feel like has some majorly different stuff going on. I’m enjoying it so far. Also I hear ya about the rioter stuff. It upsets me too but I don’t have a problem with listening to artists I disagree with, to a certain extent. I’m a Christian so I feel like certain lines are in place haha. But Beggars is my favorite, by far. I feel like the last album was a dud but I’ve liked all the others over time.
@Kevin-yl8uz3 жыл бұрын
Did you not like Major/Minor at all? I really like that album. I didn’t know that about the rioters part… However, huge fan of the band and music still. Really like this new album after a few listens.
@bearj.43633 жыл бұрын
How can you think this after the powerhouse of a track like hurricane? And you're pretty one dimensional to think he was "posting bail for rioters" when it was literally for medics that were beat and arrested for providing first aid to people.
