Seems to be a recent trend. Lacuna Coil did the same thing with their album Comalies a few months ago and I loved it. Now Thrice! All my favorite bands are doing it and it's glorious!!!

@Asparagus Daiquiri The difference is pretty much the entire band except Christina and Andrea have retired since the original recording of Comalies...while this is still the original band

@@Posirep Marco, the bass player, is also here from the start. But yeah, they went through a bunch of guitar players and drummers. Which doesn't change the amazing feeling to relisten albums I know so much and listened so much in the past with a different twist. I really enjoy this new trend of rerecording older classical albums with the band's modern sound of the moment! Also, Thrice and Lacuna Coil both amazing!!!!
