THRIFT FLIP CHRISTMAS IN JULY ROAD TRIP

Hey hey Everyone! This is the Thrift Flip Road Trip Challenge Collab, and I'm excited to bring you some Christmas in July.
First off, I tried making a homemade Wall Pocket Decoration with a can that I literally found in my own backyard. I used decoupage paper from Temu, had my husband press down the end, and decorated it with some antique wax and Mod-podge, to give the project a rusty crusty feel. I finished it off with some greenery from my stash, and honestly, I think it turned out great! I finished it off with a metal tag and some more vintage touch with a rusty star from Amazon.
Next up was a lantern that I've had in my stash for a long time. I painted it with some DIY paint, and I used a mixture of Apple Barrel Nutmeg Paint and Mod-Podge to make a homemade rusty paint to give it that more vintage rustic look. Afterward, I added a cut-down bottle brush tree with some Spanish Moss to give it that Christmas flair. Definitely a fun project with a lot of Christmas vibes!
Next up I worked on a previous failed project. I painted an old pepper mill white and glued a base to it and made a sock scarf. I finished it with some farmhouse charm, so that it would end up a cute little Summer Snowman that would be at home in any Christmas decoration.
Lastly, I used an old wicker basket and made a woodland Winter scene, with some dry brushed white DIY paint, Spanish Moss, and an owl that I darkened with paint for a more natural feel.
I loved working on all the projects this week, but the wall pocket was my favorite to make. Let me know which ones you liked down below and thank you so much for watching!
