I would have just added a transfer to the bottle and just stick some excelsior in it with a simple flower or greenery. But it’s still beautiful. Love your projects!😊

I personally think the "fog" on the glass is what gives it the older, vintage look. But my mother in law gave me a tip once about cleaning bottles that were dirty, like some that i found buried and they had dirt in them. She used anything with a gritty texture and put it in the bottle and simply shake, shake, shake. I actually used BBs back when my son had a tiny BB gun. Plastic BBs or metal ones. You just put some in and shake and it shakes around and cleans the glass. I had an area where i used to live where i found so many old bottles and they would be buried. I used this method for bottles that i couldn't reach with a brush or anything to scrub them inside. It worked for the general dirtiness and maybe some fog. Idk if it would help but maybe something to try. Wanted to add, tiny, small rocks would even work. What i always did was add a little water, some dish soap and the BBs or pebbles and shake. It cleans the bottle.

I just printed a bunch of tracing paper images to try them as images in place of transfers. I'm excited to see how well it works! Transfers can be expensive...especially larger sized ones.

Oh my word! I can't even choose a favorite. I love them all! So glad for ideas to what to do with all the 90's gold frames I have hiding out in storage😂. I was using my previously unused eyeshadow on polymer clay until I got some mica powder. I didn't think about other crafts. Great idea! And it's so nice how you list all the products for a screen shot, so helpful! Ok, maybe my favorite are the little risers at the beginning. Heaven knows I need some plant stands and these would be perfect! Congrats on the booth. God bless! 💕

The fog won't come off of vintage bottle unless you have them professionally cleaned by someone that cleans old bottles. They pretty much sandblast them in a tumbler type machine.

@@CreativeDIYPurpose cerium oxide is what’s generally used with a polishing type pad. U can buy it, I think on Amazon. And u I’m sure can find tutorials to do it yourself.

Try using Efferdent denture tabs or Alka Seltzer to clean out bottles. Works great!

I use a glazing medium and a drop of acrylic paint to get the same effect as the eye shadow. There is so many days of the year that the weather prohibits spray paint in my area. The eye shadow is way easier. Thanks for that.

I have used eyeshadow before in crafting. I also make my own waxes. It’s just more cost effective to buy clear wax and make any color I want by adding paint. The color options are endless. Obviously if you use a lot of white wax or black wax and love a particular brand it may be better to buy those in a larger size and then make smaller batches of other colors that you may not use much. I save certain take out containers and my waxes and particular custom paints that I have mixed have lasted well over a year so far.

Wow Kim- so much inspiration- I happened to have the same DT napkins, so I went around the house looking for a basket. I could not find a basket to use but I had a lime green painted thin wood “trash can” so I decoupaged it with the napkin. It looks great! Then you mentioned success with your silver trays, so I basically mimicked what you did with your tray. Thank you!! Thrift flips are my favorite videos, followed by booth tours. Ive heard using dental cleaner that fizzes up is good to use to clean dirty bottles. It can probably be found at DT. Or 99 stores. I think its called polident.

Your purple bottle looks like magnesium glass, turns purple due to sun light, a good way of removing fogging inside glass is a sand or grit paste,give it a vigorous shake,if you have something that can rotate the bottle like a rock tumbler,a couple of days with some different grits will remove it to original state.

I forgot to say with you bottle being a more square shape, you could pop it inside a cardboard tube and the tumble it.

Is the dixie belle boss same type of thing as diy salvation solution??

I've never used the SS, but when I Googled, it said it's a stain blocker like Boss. I know Boss is also an order blocker. Dixie Belle's new Bonding Boss is the old Boss and Slick Stick combined, so it now preps slick surfaces as well. It's saved me from spending hours sanding and I love it 😀
