@@BlueprintDIY As someone that is brand new to sewing (and your channel), let me say I love you. And I agree. Showing mistakes isn't just relatable, it's helpful. It's one thing Annika Victoria does the same on her channel. She's posted projects that didn't come out very well. She even did another outfit later using a pair of shorts she sewed. After posting it as a fail video, she ripped the stitches out and used some of the fabric for something new. I'm easily frustrated and discouraged, something I'm working on.

Some people are blessed to be born with natural curves and God has blessed others to show you how to get curves using excercise. Do some russian twist to develop excercise (if you are physically able) it is very simple and easy to do. All you do is hold your arms out as if you are holding a purse between your wrist and elbow and twist from side to side for a count of 30 (do about 3 sets of tbese a day until you see your results). It won't take long for your curves to kick in maybe 2 -3 weeks. Happy twisting! 😊

I think I would mark the center front line of the hoodie before putting it on. The center pin would be located somewhere along that center line. The hoodie has a deep armhole which results in a lot of loose folds at the underarm. That makes another good reason for keeping the bust gathers close to the center front. I would be tempted to dip the top of the corset lower in the back, below the bra line. And confine the gathering of the back section to the section between the shoulder blades since there is already excess fabric below the arms. I wonder if it would look weird to add lacing at both side seams. That way the corset section be kept a little loose like a pullover, but cinched in a few inches for a snugger fit when worn. I would try that by adding more strips of the faux boning but with eyelets attached along their length. It could be laced at the center back instead for someone who is flexible enough to make that reach.

Girl, so funny!! The mishap was hilarious but its so awesome that you shared it because that's what really happens when you do these kind of projects at home or even in design school unless you have a dressform or something and real talk, that's how we learn!!!!! This top was super cute and I would like to share that the investment in a french curve and tailors chalk made my" at home"," fit to yourself" projects go a lot smoother. Even a small bowl or a cup makes defining some shapes easier to draw or sketch on fabrics. Just wanna know, are you sewing that stretchy fabric with a straight stitch or a stretch stitch? Thank you for pouring into us all!!!

Angelina, you did an awesome job on coming up with the way to do this project and editing after the fact. This is really neat because this is a way to use this method on other type of clothing. And I really enjoyed the styling at the end. I think it a really good idea to start adding links to similar items to your projects in the description. Sew Ask Momma (you remember the idea I brought to your attention?): I need to know how to repair the underwire that keep coming out of the piping of my bra. I keep inserting and sewing the ripe back up but it keep poking back out. My bras are an investment because of a large chest and would love to see ways to repair this problems.

Hi! You are sooo talented this is the only one that I’ve seen close to what I was looking for and I’m so happy I found it! I was wondering if you could use your creativity to make something similar but it’s a zipper sweater and the bottom is like a whole corset with the same fabric just the shape. I don’t know if I’m explain myself because it probably sounds really complicated but it doesn’t look like that lol. I just looked it up and it’s called “zip up corset hoodie by Charlotte Russe” or “Corset Plunge Zippered Front Hooded Top & Pant Set” by flamingo shop. I really hope you reply to this because I’ve been in loooove with those outfit for months but they’re kind of expensive and I would love to learn how to do them myself so I can do it on all my sweaters lol!
