I painted a couple of those gnomes and white washed them....they took a little bit but they did sell....everything you did turned out great!

I bought the Brocante book of IOD transfers. And on my first try doing one they would not stick to the cutting board I had.😪 I thought something was wrong with the transfers. But I tried a bee on a plastic item and it worked easily. So now I am wondering if I had to use a water based poly first on the cutting board, or need to paint it?

They do usually stick better if you do a top coat of some sort and let it dry thoroughly first.

Thanks for watching! Are you talking about the Waverly? I haven't used it on furniture because it only comes in the fairly small sizes. But I'm sure it would work well.

@@dawnlanni5195 Oh for sure. I've done lots of furniture with chalk paint. It's very easy. Start by cleaning your piece really well. Then paint and seal with a wax.

@@dawnlanni5195 Dawn, she did a fabulous job on a dining table & chairs set with white & then used a sheep transfer & Buffalo Check. It was beautiful. Not sure which video it was.
