The blanket ladders are so cute. What a good use for a magazine rack. I suggest using wood filler to hide the holes at the end. That would just give it the little bit more, finished look.

Hi there, new subscriber from Australia. Damn, why have I never, ever seen your channel before. As soon as you came on and I saw everything behind and around you, I knew I had to subscribe to you. I love your style of crafting and I absolutely loved ALL your projects in this video. It’s hard to pick a favourite but I think it’s the last one and the 2 little side pieces from the magazine rack. The chicken comes a close 2nd favourite though. I’ve been going to purchase some transfers from Redesign or whatever they are called but I saw some bad reviews so it stopped me but you didn’t seem to have trouble with them and they do have some very beautiful transfers so guess I’ll be going to purchase some now. They have so many that I want but was very reluctant to purchase them. Anyway, I’m so glad I found your channel, I just know I going to love it and it will be one of my favourites. Going back now to watch the last bit of your video about your nursery. Thank you so much for sharing your projects with everyone. Think I need to start buying some DIY paint too, mine is not very good and it’s so difficult to find any that I really like in Australia. So looking forward to your next video and many more as well. Very cute projects. Might I suggest creating a photo area for finished pictures? The lace tablecloth is not beneficial to your projects. You have a beautiful store and could even create vignettes with some of your merchandise. Staging is important when showcasing your talent.😁♥️

That was an awesome idea for the last project. Why not staple the material on the wood? Also, can you spray the stencils that are on material with scotchgard to seal it? The little ladders were cute. Not a fan of yellow, but the candle sticks did scream Spring!! The chicken was cute too! TFS. 😊❤👍

Thank you!! And I decided against staples mainly because the bottom piece was pretty thin and a little brittle, and I didn't want to ruin it by shooting staples into it. Plus, my stapler is attached to my air compressor, which makes things noisy and more difficult, so I chose the tried and true glue gun. :) And yellow is not normally on my list of favorites either, but I do like a little pop of color once in a while and this particular shade is one that I don't mind so much, lol. Could you please recommend other colors besides cake batter? I don’t have that one and if I use diy paint I have to order it.

DIY doesn't really have a ton of yellows to choose from and Cake Batter is the only one I've really used. (Yellow isn't a color I use frequently to begin with). I have seen other creators use Queen Bee, but it is a touch too marigold for my taste. If you are looking for a good yellow and you use milk paint at all, Sweet Pickins has a nice yellow called Butter . . . ? These are the only two lines of paint I use regularly though, so I can't really recommend anything beyond them.

Is there a time frame on when you should use a wet rag on the paint to distress it? I have a piece that I painted with chalk paint a while back but have now decided I want to distress it. I tried using a wet rag and it did nothing.

You might try spraying the area you want to distress with a light mist of water to help reactivate the paint. Also, a baby wipe might help if a damp rag/towel isn't working for you. I usually distress my pieces within 24 hours of the last coat of paint going on, so it's likely that your paint is just cured a bit and will take a minute to get damp enough to remove.
