I used crocks like that years ago and did rub on designs on it with artist quality oil paints. Was so fun. The ones I did alot of was a strawberry cluster designs. Sold like crazy as I lived in a area known as the strawberry capital here in Florida. Was a fun time back then at the Strawberry festival time which still goes on.

I love thrift stores. Baskets are a tiny house staple! That taped basket kit looks like my mother's Christmas wrapping job 😆 OH I LOVE copper-ware...my grandmother used to have quite the collection of them. Aw, poor bunny. Wow, you did well in your shopping.

How do you come up with ideas to change things up to primitive.? Also what black or white paint works best to repaint items ? Then you sand for old look?

I can visualize the project most times. I also use Pinterest for ideas and then try to create my own ideas from there. I love using Rustoleum spray paint in matte black or whatever color I need for those hard-to-paint items. I am enjoying using clay-based paint lately, but also whatever is in the oops paint section at my local store. With clay-based paint, you can wet distress or sand. Spray paint needs to be sanded in my primitive world. I like to sand to give things a "history", or at least it looks like it. Thank you for asking great questions.

My salvation army prices are almost double what you would pay and goodwill is so much cheaper, so I stopped going there.
