I would stain the finials! There are so many stain colors and that way the grain of the wood shows through, which will go with the brick. Love the lamp shape! The oak rocker is beautiful! I would use a dark walnut stain (mix in black if you want it really dark). It'll show the grain. A large glass (gallon?) jar in that wooden holder would look cool!

The upholstered stool would be good to sit on when you have to get low when painting furniture pieces! To save your back and knees. Shoulder blade squeezes are great for posture!

I think the finials absolutely need painted! They look salvaged off a 70's table as is and painting will definitely give them more age and character. Yes white and distressed!

Great haul! Love the duck! You can get the same crackle effect by painting your base color (black) and when the paint dries go over the whole piece with a thick layer of Elmer’s glue. Let it sit for about 10 minutes and then go over it with white chalk paint and immediately dry it with a hair dryer and it will crackle before your eyes! Once it is done crackling let it fully dry for 24 hours. Love the mission-style rocker!

You can use just regular school glue to get that crackle look. Just paint it on and let it set up for about 5 to 6 mins or so and then paint over it and it will crackle beautifully! Loved everything! Your studio is going to look amazing. Can’t wait to see it. 😃

Wow what a day of wonderful thrifting!!! We don’t mind watching you scurry around getting boxes to show us your treasures! You could possibly use the rocking chair and footstool in you studio for an inspiration break. Lol. I must be missing the lives because I don’t know if I have seen the studio. I saw a 'chippy' paint tutorial on 'Our Upcycled Life' youtube channel. She uses elmer glue under paint then uses a blow dryer on it.
