I, too, buy old books simply for the colour of the covers. 2 weeks ago, I was dusting and picked up one of the books I had purchased months ago. I read the title and was horrified to see it was called Messages From The Beyond. I hadn't read the title. I just loved the colour of burgundy it was. I was mortified thinking of anyone picking it up in my home, lol. I had thoughts of my Pentecostal parents picking it up and thinking I had left the faith, lol! Lesson learned... always read the titles 😂. Love how tour mantle clock turned out. I guessed it was antiquing wax ;).

That was an amazing Thrift haul! It really annoys me that these thrift places keep raising their prices, it’s all donations. I really wish people would take a deep dive into goodwill instead of blaming resellers for their price hikes because their jaws would drop what they find, mine sure did. It’s greed, nothing else. 😕 I’ve never seen those birds before, I wonder what kind they are. I was going to say the one set could be bluebirds but they don’t quite look like that either, they’re beautiful. Oh that copper platter 😮 that is gorgeous and perfect for the pumpkins. Wow, that little clock was an amazing flip. My hubby’s uncle made those type of clocks years ago and when we visited them in Ohio he gifted hubby one of them, it’s so cute and a wonderful memory from him. Have a great day! ❤️🙏🏻

I love finding old hymnals! That copper platter is gorgeous! Can't ever have enough food storage containers, they seem to disappear out of nowhere 🤷‍♀️ Lol Love the little clocks, I'd love to find a tiny mantle clock and I love the way it turned out!! Hi 🌹 I love old hymnals too. Those wall decor scissors are awesome. When you get stuff for the booth and it will be awesome to set up displays. Mark the price up. That copper tray is amazing. Agree on picking up pumpkins or any seasonal decor. When you can buy at that price. Love the frames and the clocks. Great job upcycling the clock. ❤

Nice thrift haul. Yes hummers are smaller with long skinny beaks. The eastern bluebirds are so soft looking although breakable ha. Great find of the hymnal. ❤ doesn’t the clock work with battery? Thrift stores have caught on to the trend of people shopping there to resell or makeover pieces and follow KZbin channels that does this. This I was told by someone who would know first hand. It’s sad because they are given the items for “FREE” I stopped donating to them and I just ask around until I find someone that can benefit from being given the items that I would otherwise donate to a thrift store. Makes me feel better anyway ❤

the plastic containers made me laigh. When my boys became a dults I found a multple size container set. One with green lids and one with blue lids for each boy.. The INTENTION was for them to wash and then bring them back, it never happened so now we save Aldi butter bowls, cottage chees tubs, cool whip, pretty much anything with a snap on lid... In Ohio we call it "Kentucky Turpperware", no offense to Kentuckians at all. If they don't come back I don't feel like I have wasted money. My mama had a small narrow but tall one door cabinet back in one corner of the kitchen by the fridge, after she assed away in 2001 we found that cabinet completely FULL but very neatly organized cabinet FULL of bitter bowls, plastic wrap foil, cake baking supplies and one entre shelf of neatly folded brown paper grocery bags,,,,,
