As a Chemist in the Medial Lab, it makes me sad to not see much about Chemistry. The stuff about the blood transfusion was hilarious though. I'm so glad that we don't have check boxes like that at our lab and the doctors have to specify on written orders for all that stuff.

CMV negative blood is given to susceptible CMV negative patients... if they're already CMV positive there's no point (most people are CMV+). Though now we give leukoreduced since it's just as good.
