I have mixed feelings about The Final Cut. Cool finds and good cassette tip!

Ive been getting the same response about final cut. I have not played it in its entirety but streamed some. I usually give three spins before i pass judgement. The cassette tip saved me from throwing away many a cassette. Glad you enjoyed the video.

I've been picking up some Jay and the Americans, lately. Cool find on the Final Cut ! Nice synopsis about Thatcher, R Waters view, and the Faulklands. I bought Stardust on release in '78 Cool beans, Tony !

You are right.. Jay Black was the key to good albums by the band. I like those shows as well on PBS 🙂

Awesome Pick Ups Tony! I’m really starting to LOVE all the “Greatest Hits & Comps,” on vinyl! They are space savers! lol 😆 I gotta grab The Final Cut still. Football is back baby! STAY OFF OF THEM SHOES! 😜
@twofromthetrunk99322 ай бұрын
I aways loved getting the greatest hits comp. I was a poor kid growing up, so i needed to spend my money wisely. Football is here. I think my Steelers are going to have a rough go of it this year. But who knows. Lol blue suede all the way.

Hi Tony 🎉. That's one PF I've not added to the collection only because I haven't come across it. I'd probably like it since I do like Rodger W solo stuff. Great tips for the cassette people among us. I've eschewed that format long ago. I never had many cassettes since vinyl was my thing. CDs that's another story 😊. 👍
@twofromthetrunk99322 ай бұрын
Greg… that OF album is a first for me too. I never hear of it until i found it. I still like cassettes to a point. It has to be my price range or something i really want. Cds too i guess. I like cds because my truck still has a player.

Oh man we got everything here. This is actually timely because I’ve sensed something has been up with my stylus for a minute ao imma check this out. It’s the unpopular pick but I love the Final Cut. It’s so dark. And depressing. And hopeless.. just like me! But really, I enjoy it more than most. Cheers Tony!

Bingo, Bango, Bongo!!! Another fun one Tony. I collect cassettes and never looked for those pads… I need a few… Never seen that Pink Floyd, gotta be good. Hope the rest of your week is not too “Catawampus” (learning new words in my 50’s love it) I need to change my stylist for PL12D, hesitating between AT and Shure… First time I see you go out with the King, love it… Cheers my friend 🎶✌🏼
@twofromthetrunk99322 ай бұрын
I never knew of that Pink Floyd album. Haven’t had a chance yet to play it. I had a shure cart and liked it. But it seems people really like the AT also. Every once in a while i play the King to make sure the batteries still function. Lol. All is well in the hacienda!!!!

Good luck with the Floyd album, not a fan. I do like the Jay and the Americans LP. A good playing tape is hard to beat, great tip on repair. Nice tip on the stereo set up too.
@twofromthetrunk99322 ай бұрын
Don. I heard that a great deal about that album. I just streamed a few parts of it and the jury is still out. Always had a fondness for Jay and the Americans. Tapes are always a good find, ad long as they seem be in good shape. But you never know until you try them. Thanks for stopping by and commenting.

I've heard people poo pooing The Final Cut. But...but I like it. It may not be the same caliber as Dark Side, but what is? Ain't nothing wrong with tapes. Sometimes tapes sound better than albums. Blasphemy I know. I agree on your statement about the clear cases.
@twofromthetrunk99322 ай бұрын
How have you been Dan? I hope all is well with you my friend. I think the final cut deserves a few good spins from me before i pass judgment. I love cassettes, the Del Shannon tape is excellent. I haven’t played the others. I got a couple records coming in from eBay that should be arriving Friday. So I’ll wait till then to clean the records. Ill let you know

@twofromthetrunk9932 I'm doing fine. Wasn't quite ready for the colder nights. Lol. Sorry I haven't done any videos in a month or so. Just haven't bought many new music. But that may change after I receive 6 cds from an ebay seller. I have been active on my Stoner's Stashbox Facebook page though, showing what's in my collection. Catch you later.

I appreciate the cassette advice. Can you send a link to where you get the pads? Thanks!
@twofromthetrunk993229 күн бұрын
Go to Amazon and search for, “replacement pads for cassettes “ The company that sells them is called Sleevie Wonder (Sleeviewonder.com). It should be 14.99 for 25. The company I originally bought, I can’t find. These from Sleevie wonder look very similar. I think they even have a video tutorial.
