So many ideas for those free standing wood trees. You could cover with old sheet music, engraving pages from old books, even old pages from newspapers,etc. Love the idea. Too bad I don't have saws & such to do some of this wood working.

What's funny is the glass glitter company is likely a glass grinder company, whose wife told them not to waste the glitter that came off the glass as they ground it for whatever project they were working on! At least, that's how I like to think about it! LOL

I’m sure others have told you that a “crinoline” is an old fashioned under garment made to wear under dresses to make the skirt part fuller. When I was a little girl we wore “ can cans” under our fancy dresses. And they were scratchy! I’m 67 years young. I suspect that you are much younger and have never heard of a crinoline but your mother may have. So the teacher in me wants to help you pronounce “crinoline”. The crin sounds like grin. Then say “nuh” followed by “lun”. Altogether crin nuh lun. I didn’t do a very good job on that lesson. Haha! Maybe it will help. I love your channel. I never miss an episode. I will be ordering some of your awesome Christmas tags!

Hi Carol! No...no one has ever told me that! I didn't even know there was a meaning behind the name. Thank you for sharing that with me! I really appreciate that! I'm 54 years old...so, I'm just a little bit younger than you. I'm going to have to ask my mom if she remembers them. Also, thank you for the pronunciation of it, because I had no clue on how to say it! And, that made my day to read that you love my channel and never miss an episode!!! What a WONDERFUL compliment! Thanks Again, Carol and You have a BEAUTIFUL day!!! XOXO

Pamela...I totally get it! It's hard to cut pages out because it feels like you shouldn't be doing it but truthfully I'm not going to do anything with these books other than let them gather dust in a box for another 10 years in my basement until I finally just want them out of my house and they go back to goodwill, anyway....so, I thought....just do it and in the end....I'm glad I did because I have been able to make some cool projects with them!

Hi Brooke! If you're coming to Michigan and you're going to stop at Sweet & Sassy Treasure, then you're going to want to plan it around a few other things, because you're coming a long way. Her shop is SUPER cute, but it's a little on the smaller side and your driving about a 4 1/2 hour drive. (She's closed on Monday and I believe Sunday, so you'll want to plan it between Tuesday and Saturday.) I'm not sure when you're coming, but across the street is the Packard Plant where my Mom and I do our Vintage Shows. I'm don't know if we're going to do it this year, but it's a GREAT show. There is a show in May, August and September. We also have the Utica Antique Flea Market, which is just 2 miles away from her shop. They hold their Flea Market in May, July and September. I've taped that show....you can watch the video on it to see if it's something you'd want to do. Here are a few things other things you can go to in the area. We have some great Thrift Stores in a five mile radius. There is two great Salvation Army's and one Vincent De Paul's Thrift Store and if you're willing to drive another five miles...we have an AWESOME Salvation Army that is in Rochester, Michigan. Anyway, I think that's AWESOME you're going to be taking a road trip here to Michigan! Yay!!!!!

Love loved them all. That stocking was so cute n I’m so glad you showed how to do the lining. I’m not much of a sewer but I always wanted to know how you put lining in. You mentioned that type of cloth. I already forgotten the name of it n I’ve never heard of it before. I’ve heard of muslin. Trees were adorable. Haven’t had much time to watch my Utube since placing hubby in respite care. Been running back n forth. Your just so clever at how you come up with so many ideas. I’m truly impressed. Take care my friend n always be good to yourself. OXOX ♥️😊👍👍

Hi Shelly! I'm sorry that you haven't had much time to yourself!!! I just want to give you hug! I know it can't be easy for you!!! Hang in there, Shelly! To your comment about the fabric I used....yes, it's Osnburg. I use to make all my dolls out of it, when I sold Primitive dolls. Muslin is thinner, where osnburg is a little bit sturdier and has a bit of a textured feel to it. I love using Osnburg! It's keep right by the Muslin. Shelly, thank you for such a AWESOME compliment on my projects and ideas! I'm so glad you enjoy them when you get the chance to do so! You take care, as well, Shelly!!!! XOXO

Kelly, I spritz the back of the paper before laying it on the mod podge. I never get wrinkles.
@FLEAMARKETRESCUE2 жыл бұрын
Hi Stella!!! So, do you spritz the back with water? I'll have to give that a try, because I hate getting bubbles and wrinkles when using the mod podge. I know if you spray the back with a clear coat....you won't get bubbles or wrinkles, but it would be so much easier with spritz it with a little water. Well, let me know. Ok? Thanks, Stella!
@stellaupton53262 жыл бұрын

Hey Kelly this all looks really great, but… when traveling, my ex and I had a saying, “if I were driving, I would …..” and then we would proceed to tell the other person how we would go. So if I were making those cute trees with the paper I would’ve not cut the paper I would have just put the mod podge on the wood and lay the entire paper over. When dry, sand paper in downward swipes! And I loved the shout out! CT forever or until yours is destroyed by your mess making!

Joanne...normally I do not respond to negative comments, but your comment was particularly upsetting to me, so I think I need to address it. I'm sorry you feel my videos are not properly explained or shown. Joanne, I feel that I do my best to explain everything and show everyone what I'm doing as I explain the steps. In this video...I not even sure what you're talking about, but, please keep in mind...I'm not perfect. I spend FOUR nights of the week putting together these FREE videos to share all my projects and ideas with you. Sometimes, I'm up until 2 or 3 in the morning...just trying to finish everything. I don't know if you know this, but I also work a full time job, as well. Then in a whatever time I have left...I try to squeeze in and fulfill Etsy orders from my Etsy shop. I'm sorry my video is not to your standards, but again I'm not perfect, Joanne! I just am a person sharing my ideas and techniques that I use and am trying to create a fun and positive environment here on KZbin. It's very upsetting that you would say I'm being lazy after everything I do, so please when choosing to leave a comment, please be kind. It's the respectful thing to do.
