Watched this video again today and went to goodwill to waste time between two appointments. My son found a lithograph he thought I would love. It is beautiful and it was a hot to hear him quote Dr Lori. He looked up the artist while we were there. We found it being sold on different sites for $175. I love you have sparked his curiosity, and I got a great lithograph out of it.
@DrLoriV5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. When you say "being sold", remember it hasn't sold yet at that price. It's still a price, not a value. Plus, those sites could have mis-identified and incorrectly valued their pieces. It could be worth more :)

Lol wait till you see what I have..I got it up here in Canada at Value Village and it was a huge honking big watercolor as soon as I walked in the store I looked at the back wall and I seen this art and Isis this looks valuable but it wasn't much to look at. And so I took a magnifying glass and I looked at it and it was very fine brush Strokes watercolor and I have a huge red Oriental stamp.. indicating the signature of an Asian person. And I said to myself this is one painting I'm going to buy and I think it was only like $29 or something it's about 4 feet by 3 ft. ..I am looking forward to getting everything I have appraise by you. A friend of mine says why don't you just get everything appraised by your local appraisers?? I said are you crazy lol this woman knows what she's doing after watching you for months I have no doubt in my mind that you are a professional and besides I know what locals can do. You're honest and I've been scammed by dealers and I don't want to go there mind you I'm not saying all dealers are like that don't get me wrong but why would I go anywhere else when I got you LOL so looking forward to doing this pretty soon I got a ton of stuff and the reason I want to get rid of it or sell it is because I'm becoming a minimalist..and live a simple life. Have a goid day or evening Lori parlaci di nuovo😊

I am so enjoying all your videos! Easy to learn so much in the very humorous style you instruct in! My sister was moving and she threw away a lot of pictures. I was unable to stop her in time for most of them but one caught my eye so I grabbed it. This art Print of Homer's "Breezing Up" was free in the 1960s if you bought One Giant Cascade at the National Gallery of Art. However the front right corner has Homer 127 written on it. I know its not worth much but had to save it. I was able to tell how old the print was from the little metal triangles used to hold the print in...which I learned from you!

I have a couple questions to ask you. About a year ago I got you to appraise a lot of things in mind and there was one in particular that I didn't think was going to be extremely valuable and it wasn't that valuable but it was worth $500 after you appraised it and it was a girl aged Nordstrom 1876 to 1965 circa 1960 anyways I got it at a yard sale and it had a dollar sign on it so I stood there for a while and asked if should I get it? should I get it ?and the woman seen that I was indecisive so she says to me, you can have it free! And even in the condition it had a hole in it which you were aware of and you still appraised at $500 I was really surprised however my question is with that price have gone up since a year ago or gone down as my girlfriend says it's probably gone up and i said I don't know I'll ask Lori. Because I want to sell it.
