I really enjoy these videos and enjoy weird things that have come out in the last 20 years. I’m not old enough to really be part of the film era (born in 1990). But I’m happy i was part in this weird bridge between digital and film era. So many peculiar cameras has been made since the late 90’s until now, 99% of them is almost forgotten or has a niche cult group - And they can get picket up for a steal. For me thats just wonderful. Looking forward to more videos where you inspire me and remind me of things from my childhood that’s long forgotten! Thank you.

Thanks! That's pretty much what I'm going for. I don't think anything you can learn so much from is obsolete, and they deserve more time in the sun. I was born in 1988, so I missed out on the film era for the most part myself. Still, I found it to be a good learning tool. Now it is too expensive to recommend, though. These older, objectively less capable cameras I think are great teachers for those of us that can't afford to spend $30-$40 on a roll of film and processing, only to not have the equipment to fully take advantage of film.

@@forgottencameras I Think that today film is just not a justified option for new shooters, but an option for people with more Experience that Can afford the filmroll and at the same time have a concept of ISO, exposure etc. Otherwise it’s a hard learning curve if you have to ditch Half of your shots. I have pickes up grd1, gxr and a fuji x pro 1. I have many more cameras on that list that im trying to find on EBay.

Your comment on leaving duplicate cameras for others, especially youthful photographers, was my thinking as well!

Yep; I encourage collecting, not hoarding.

This was a fun video to watch. I totally agree with the message of not just buying the cameras if you don’t need it.

I really like your videos; I just feel like I'm hearing to a friend, or an old folk talk about cameras and mt passion, showing me his finds. I really like that aspect of your videos. I got into photographing a bit over 4 months ago with a Sony DSC H70 I bought (which was actually my first camera at all :D) and just got an HX50V (waiting for it to arrive lol) and I'm so excited to shoot with it. Please keep your really nice content up! It really inspires me to be as good at photography as you when I'm talking to my nephews or somin lmao. Thanks for all the joys and moments :)

Aw thanks! I'm working on starting it up again. I've had a lot of requests at work (camera seller) to do educational content, so that's what I am going to do. So keep an eye out!

No likes or comments after 7 hours? Man you deserve a lot more attention to your channel. Keep up the great work!

It's weird because I may not see likes or comments, but I gain subscribers. Not many, but some, although they may be from other videos.

I picked up a Canon s90, complete in box for $20;(1/2 off sticker). Very good image quality. I used it a lot for a year and gave it away to my mother who still uses it at 84. Samsung AF slim zoom ($5.00) 35-70 film camera. I still use it today and it takes surprisingly sharp and contrasty photos with TriX.

just got an S100 today on a lark thrifty shopper stop. Also an A3300 was there but this is better imo. $10usd. That Olympus was cool for the time mine had the slider switch break (was free to me).

I had the twisty Nikon. Was my first digital camera. The lens was sharp.

Not entirely sure, but the Polaroid may be a rebranded and slightly -designed Olympus, the Olympus SP-620.

Digital cameras were of no value then it is back as a fad "film like" camera now 2023. Goodwill by me has over priced them now, I see $40 to $100 for them. There is even a Goodwill action web page for the expensive cameras. I only see broken or unknown cameras for $5.
