That pumpkin bowl would have sold quickly with another simple paint technique IMHO. You could have painted the bowl with the pumpkins using Waverly's chalk paint in orange. Then gone over the whole thing with Waverly's white wax and removed the excess. The effect is that of terracotta like the flower pots. Try it sometime. :)

One of your best videos. That sconce in the book spine is genius! I love it. My other favorite is the pumpkin bowl. In the fall, I love all things pumpkin. Decor and, of course, the taste and smell of pumpkin bread.

Oh my goodness I can’t say which I found as a favorite as there was far too many that I thought were fabulous. I’m still thinking how you made that lamp out of a old dictionary book. What a clever idea that was. It was so cool! Your bowl turned out really neat looking. I loved the pumpkins on it. Oh, and that corner shelf was so pretty painted white n adding the leaf transfers. I remember as a little girl dusting my grandmother’s shelf just like yours. The plaques you did, I liked the blue ones better. Even your fails end up looking fabulous! My favorite today was the leaf candlestick with the blue finial on top. It looked especially nice next to the big vase. I received my candle book and I love it. It is going in a display with a white feather owl and some potion bottles. I can't send pics of it or my birdcage, since I don't have Facebook or Instagram accounts. But I am enjoying them both so much. ❤

That is the reason I stopped watching crafting videos, over 2 years ago, because it became a Dollar Tree + an IOD/DIY paints affiliate nightmare. I also got tired of seeing the same old boring dollar tree crafts. If I saw one more dollar tree sign painted with an IOD stamp slapped on it and a bow, I thought I would lose my mind, or a painted resin figurine to look like cement, or adding drop cloth to everything, or a painted candle stick with a wood round attached to it (ugh). 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️😂 Well, after two years, I started to watch again, only to find that nothing changed, they’re still doing the same things. The problem is, no one will be honest with the creators, so they continue to do it. I can’t believe anyone would want that stuff in their home. I mean, I realize not everyone is a millionaire, I certainly am not wealthy, quite the opposite, but a painted dollar tree wood round, with an IOD transfer and a bow still looks like a painted dollar tree wood round, it doesn’t look like it is a quality piece of decor. Most of the dollar tree videos are not high quality decor, they could probably be better, with a little ingenuity, but most are not, they look as cheap as they originally looked. This is the one channel I will watch, because it isn’t boring. I still cringe at hearing “Dollar Tree” and/or “IOD/DIY Paints,” but when it isn’t used on everything, it’s still cringey, but a little less cringey. I also don’t think that many of those creators realize that they started their channel, the people who watched weren’t overly wealthy, yet they all hopped on the IOD/DIY Paints train wreck at the same time, which I think it’s because, IOD or IOD vendors were sending them free samples or very discounted priced samples to push on people, people who don’t have the money to spend on it, and when someone doesn’t have the money to buy them, it frustrates them seeing it used on every project, in every video. Which makes those comapnaies even more cringey. That was a big part of the reason I stopped watching, it became so boring to see it, and I couldn’t make the same thing, so why watch it? Another part of the reason I stopped was to teach myself graphic design, which I have learned, and I love to do it, and although IOD stuff is beautiful, it is very limited, and EVERYONE is using it, and I don’t want my decor to be like everyone else’s, I want it to be different, so now I can easily make my own designs, in whatever style I choose, and I can make one of a kind designs. The IOD stuff, to me, has become kitsch. It is so overused, it is boring.
