Thrift to Treasure - Curating a Vignette for Antique Acres - IOD Chateau Paint Inlay - DIY Paint

In today's video I'm taking 5 items that I recently thrifted and flipping them for Antique Acres which is May 19th & 20th. I recently picked up 2 hutches that I plan on using for this event. I will be using the paint inlay called Chateau from IOD and that is what inspired today's video. I'm so excited to bring you along for the set up and the event at Antique Acres! I have to admit that I haven't been drawn to the Chateau Inlay...but the Baroque Roccoco effect on the cutting boards is quite nice. Also, I liked the red peeking thru on the apples; many new apple 'breeds' have drifted far from the classic 'Red Delicious'.

You’ve inspired me to paint some hand carved apples I have! They were beautiful red stained in their prime, but I used them on my screened porch and the sun faded them bad. Now I can bring them back to life! I absolutely love your channel! 🍎♥️🍎♥️🍎

When you paint something dark like the apples, spray or paint shellac on first. Shellac, will stop the dark paint from bleeding thru.

I live in South Africa 🇿🇦 I am fortunate to have a medical aid ,and also fortunate to know people in several medical occupations....sometimes I cant help to wonder how they manage with long hours and high demands...on a recent visit to hospital for surgery I was again stunned at the terrible way patients treat medical staff !! I can only give praise to nursing staff ,porters ,doctors ,anesthesiologist ....all staff working in hospital...was reminded again to pray for the person in the uniform and their occupations ❤

Agreed, the farm box was my favorite as well. I believe it also allows the buyer to have versatile uses for it as well, not just a box for display. It can be used for recipe cards, candy, tea, coffee bags, ….etc. Great job!! I’ll be looking for more boxes myself😊
