Great explanation for why you paint these treasures. I realize that seeing something in television doesn't give me the "true" look of depth & feel of these pieces. When you pan the camera I get a better sense of the warmth and richness of the item. Your attention to detail is what keeps me faithful to your channel. Keep up your excellent workmanship -both you & your husband.

I appreciate that you remake every item even if it is already the color that you plan to have it be. I also like the extra attention you give each piece - like painting the underside of that bench. I am a reseller and I often get accused of “touching a piece too many times” but I like what I like and I am not going to sell anything that I wouldn’t have in my own home. I’ve incorporated several of your techniques including putting the antiquing wax over my black paint and I am so much happier with the results than I was before.

Love the cute black box. In NZ we would call the black side table with the spindles - a 'telephone table'.. from the 60's. I must admit I have a lot of wooden candlesticks in my house... I love yours. I will have to do the stripe thing sometime... it is very earthy. Nice job Yvonne.

Hi Yvonne...nice refinish on these items, as always you and Chris did wonderful work....we're in for some nice weather for a few days, I just might hit my garage again and do "stuff", lol....moved my son & g/f out of their house on Sat., it should have been their wedding day, darn covid...they'll do it down the road, their new house is coming along nicely, they had the cabinet guy over yesterday, I asked him how much and he replied "I don't even want to know", lol...I love sharing my life with you for some reason, I think we would be good friends if we ever met....Take care...stay safe...
@GingerChickRehab4 жыл бұрын
Yes.. this nice weather is a blessing this week. Oh I’m sorry about the wedding. I had 3 weddings of clients that that happened to them also. Like you said darn COVID.. Oh the price of wood is crazy. We couldn’t reason our fence this year with what it was going to cost.. so I imagine cabinet cost😬

Love the bench and the tiered table but can't say I picked a favorite. The little box would look great in the middle of my table with greenery and a few silk flowers in it. The bowl came out gorgeous. Not sure if I would have tackled the table that had the epoxy or thick finish on it. Since I have a very small sander. But you did it proud!!
