Julie I want to tell you something. those 4 dated canisters. Your not going to believe this. My Mom used to use that those same canaster set in her home. Yes I can't thank you enough for this amazing idea of yours. Yes I am going to try to remake what you have done. I am also going to get those stamps and see if I can do it.. For some strange reason I couldn't let them go. And for sure my Mom in Heaven is going to be so proud of me for what you have taught me to do. I can't thank you enough.

The canisters turned out awesome. I've used stamps for years with acrylic paints on canvas. I use a medium to thin the paint to an inky constancy. A medium thins without watering down the paint. Perhaps chalk paint can be thinned also. If you can thin it down and add a layer of paint to wax paper, (in essence making a stamp pad),press the stamp on the paper then the object. This might produce the effect you are looking for.

I love them, too, Julie. I have stamped, and always use ink. What you do is, take the ink pad and tap it on the stamp, as opposed to taking the stamp and tapping it on the ink pad. It works so much easier. I love all your projects. I just tried the baking soda, paint idea, and love it also. I am praying for Louisiana, and your baby is adorable....

Hey Gal Just wanted to let you know you are rocking these Thrift to Treasures!...l too am a South Louisiana gal, born and raised in Gibson and spent most of my adult years in Chackbay Now l am in Pecan Island about 60 miles East of Cameron, so we were definitely in the storms ( Laura) path. We were extremely lucky to have gotten by with minimal damage of tree branches scattered throughout the yard, our chicken coup, is a lil off kilter and we were without power and water for a couple days. Love your ability to turn such ugly things into something beautiful, and make money off of it. Hope to see lots more of your Thrift to Treasure videos!❤️❤️❤️

I am a stamper and there a ink pad name “StazOn “ it’s for every surface . It will stay on metal and all kind of material. You will need to buy the StazOn stamp cleaner to clean your stamps . And it’s comes out great . It comes in all kind of color . It don’t come off when it’s dry . There are lots of you tube info on it . You can get it at most crafts store .

Usually what is used for ink block printing is a rubber roller and special ink in a tube. You can buy it in an art supply store. It’s rolled over the block or stamp, then the stamp or block is rolled with a clean roller to make the print. I am an art teacher. You could try that process for your stamping, it will give you cleaner edges.

FYI - Jami & Zebulon use a brayer to put paint on their stamps and it distributes the paint more evenly and accurately. I think they have also used ink. Wish I could recommend which video of theirs but they've done it many times at the end of a Saturday Thrift Haul I think. Love those canisters as well and would keep them. Loving your channel.

Being a stamper.... I would suggest if you want to use paint that you spread a thin layer of paint onto some windowsheet and stamp you stamp in that and then onto your project. Putting the paint on the stamp with a brush gets too much paint in areas and no paint in other areas...... good luck....

Hi again, I just bought these stamps as well and ink is one thing to use but you can also use paint but rolling it on the stamp with a small amount of paint works best. Just sayin....Hurricanes are no joke. I grew up on Cape Cod in New England, been thru a few. Powerful, scary, yet majestic.
