This was my first big thrift haul since the beginning of the pandemic bc I’ve been practicing intentional thrifting.

Hahaha! Ya I’m over buying thrifted pieces and being disappointed in it fitting incorrectly or god forbid making me self conscious of my evolving body shape. Highly recommend - Wear the leggings and try it on in store so you can really get a feel!

I dont have a savers store here we have goodwill store and I got some double-h boots and corrall boots for 15 dollars each and they were taken care of very well and I found some vintage cowgirl dresses for 2 dollars each I cant wait to get asked to go to a rodeo lol..

I to love a good poncho and I have a few, and you scored big on getting a cream one that not all ratty and stained. I will check out the IG to see these pieces styled. I really like all the thing that you thrifted in this video. I attended a friend that threw a pre pre pre New Year eve girl get together at her house (I was the oldest at 60 (61 on January 8) in the group), I wore a black/white sequin mini skirt mid-thigh length with a man's tuxedo oversize white shirt a little longer than the skirt but I left the bottom half unbutton so the skirt could be seen and a men's black blazer the same to thigh length every last pieced thrifted and I threw on my calf high black Dr Martens (not thrifted). Everyone else had on jeans or leggings sweatshirts/tees (hostess had on black smock summer dress knee length) and when I came in, they started on me on 1 that my outfit was oversized and 2 why I was so dressed up and this is what I said I am 60 and covid19 among other things has shown us and, in my lifestyle at 60, actual special occasions are rare, so I'm not going to save things in hope of an event worthy situation, I am going to take the opportunity if I want to put together a look that makes me feel good. It not a special event more or less unless you make it one, I will wear this to the grocery store if I choose. It was weird silence afterward as they all hung onto my words and realized the truth in them started to look at each other and nod (it was just 6 of us in attendance and the range of age started at 50 and went up to 58 excluding myself at 60 looking at the photo taken you would not know the age differences). And then I stamped it with "Don't save things for special occasions that might never come". My motto for 2023 is that platform continued of I will not dress like my grandmother or my mom, and I will try to find joy in every little thing, at least one thing that day. I had started summer of last year on stop following some KZbinr channels because their content is not relatable (and I spent a lot of time viewing and trying to support too many channels). The major thing I will be trying to do this year and forward is not waiting to do things because there no one to go with me, I had an exco-worker that married, and she said that she goes to a lot of things by herself for years (I noticed), and I should try it and she sent me a Christmas card with a $25 AMC card to nudge me out. to me leather pieces are sustainable especially when thrifted. they’ll last forever. still don’t like or promote killing animals solely for fashion but it’s better than synthetic for sure. i need to go thrifting it’s been forever 😩
