I loved going thrifting with you in this video. What I love most about all your videos is the care, love, and respect you have for the items you source. There are so many fantastic reseller channels but it saddens me when the refer to the items as 'junk' or 'crap'. I love to shop and get excited to find little goodies or as I call them my treasures. I could shop all day too. More shopping videos please.

Clydesdale's are known for pulling the Anheuser Bush wagon from St Louis Mo,they are born and raised there.Their tails are put in a bob for show to help show off their massive body, Clydesdale's in the horse world are known as "gentle giant's". I've been a horse lover all my life.

I love, love the way you shop! Gut instinct purchasing. Carry it around then take another good look at it. I shop the same way. Moving from the clothes to the hard goods is a must. It gives you eyes and mind a chance to switch gears and focus on something else. Then go back with fresh eyes or to see if anything was added if they were stocking merchandise. Your comments on items are also quick and thoughtful.

Abercronbie & Fitch used to be a company that sold outdoor gear and clothing for very rich outdoorsmen. When The Limited bought it in the 80's everything changed LOL. So vintage coasters from the original A&F company could indeed be very collectible. My most significant memory of A&F is that Charles Emerson Winchester III on the M*A*S*H TV series ordered long underwear from them in the Korean War.

The clydesdale has a "docked" tail. It is common in the draft breeds due to the fact that they are/were primarily used for driving and the reigns are less likely to get caught under the tail. (Life-long horse owner of 40+ years😊). Breyer horses can be collectible.

Great video and would love to have a thrift store like that near me! There is one large GW we visit every few weeks, but I haven’t been there without being scolded or yelled at (lol), so when I saw you pick something up from the cart to be put out I expected someone to appear telling you to put it down! 😂. The first time we went my daughter also had her cart piled high and decided at the end, they had the security guard hovering near, and the dressing room attendant complaining. I’m always amazed at this, working in customer service for years, but we go because we find our best finds!

I think you are exactly right on the toleware kindling box. You can see the inside bottom is shiny, if it were 100+ years old that would be scratched and worn. But is beautifully done and worth big $. Happy hunting!

in one of your videos in Florida I thought you said you sometimes have 5 carts, that would exhaust me. it is not dizzy until someone goes left to right while going down isle, easier to go down one side and then turn around and go back down the other side, this store is very full compared to my area, PA stores seems to have lots merchandise, great video

I love the Goodwill's in your area. All the Goodwill's in the Raleigh area of NC have very limited hard goods. Most only have the outside walls of the stores dedicated to hard goods and the majority and center of the stores are for clothing. So basically there are only 2 to 3 rows of hard goods as 1 to 2 outside walls are the the checkout counters and artwork. It's pretty discouraging.
@debrashulman3624 жыл бұрын
Hi. I think your last item is a Chinese "Duo" or rice basket, carrier or bucket. It is named after the official rice measure, called a duo. It certainly looks old. Perhaps the decoration was added later to help it appeal to the Western market. They had been in fashion for decoration within the last 20 or so years, so perhaps plain, older, antique duos were "beautified" in this way. They make great storage in family or living rooms. I think you got a great buy!

Your fisherman is a Bosson Head figurine. He's pretty good looking, isn't he? Your wood box with the flowers is a foreign piece. I see them in antique shops but they are newer. They still command some good prices, though, because they're pretty and they look old.

They all got split up between me and my 2 aunts (who also resell on eBay) to sell after he passed. I think he had 3 of the same fisherman ones 😂😂😂
