Awesome shed from Patiowell! We are still climbing up in the attic every Christmas season, and my husband is 75! I really need to go thru all my decor in closets and boxes and pare it down big time. Thanks for the inspiration! ❤

For the bed skirt, split down the middle. Take the pleat out- in the middle and keep flat on the end where the pleat was. You have pleats on the corners for fullness. I use old sheets to fill in the middle of the box springs

Suggestion: Use heavy duty waterproof caulk (for outdoor use) to close off any cracks on the floor and ceiling; it will keep out bugs and water. Eventually, metal storage buildings will have leaks; so storing items in plastic bins is advisable. It is always nice to have extra storage for household decor.

Yes, get every crack. The mice love a home. In Minnesota we sealed ours to keep out a mouse we saw and the little thing actually lives in a snow bank by the bird feeder. Him and his buddy the rabbit eat together 😂

Hey Julie!! I'm so happy for you about the storage shed. It will help you tremendously! The one thing I would caution you about is storing your pillows out there. They would be better in your attic. Anything in a plastic bag may get ruined. I speak from experience! Just wanted to give you a heads up on that. I love seeing you each week and enjoy your sweet ways!😇

I totally agree with the comment about not storing your pillows in the shed. No matter how tight you think it is, little critters like mice and bugs can still get in and ruin your cloth items. I have had this happen to me a few times and I was just amazed they got to my stuff. That nice new shed will definitely make your life much easier.

I had the same storage problem that you had, seasonal decor in the attic of the garage. I had to rely on my son to get things down for me & put them back up. So, we decided to build a 10x12 cottage (storage shed) in the back yard. I absolutely love it ! Everything in one spot , easy to access & easy to put things back. I hope you enjoy your new storage shed as much as I enjoy mine.

Do not store anything just in bags, like wreaths or pillows. Mice will get into anything. They need space the size of a dime to squeeze through. We have found nests in golf bags and roller blades ruined because they ate the foam.

Seriously, mice are sneaky critters, they were stealing my dogs food in the fall and hiding it in my shop vac that I keep in an upstairs closet of all places, they also chew through boxes and tear apart what's inside for their nests....drove me crazy till I got rid of them.I keep everything in heavy duty plastic bins now.

Very organized Julie and you did a good job.❤This 8' x 6' Metal Outdoor Storage Shed has a large storage space inside, which can store most of the tools you will use in your daily life such as mowers, ladders, tool kits and other items to keep your yard clean. The design of the tall walls also allow for plenty of headroom to work, hang tools or stack something according to your needs.

Our new to us house just doesn’t have the great storage our home in Germany had…which was a huge attic space inside and a huge attic space over the garage. Cute little shed. Just a word of caution. Don’t put any candles out there. It’s going to turn into an oven in the summer. We had a metal shed similar when we were first married living in Georgia. I had my freezer in there and I had to hurry when I went to the freezer because it got hard to breathe after a few minutes. Hopefully yours will do much better than that one!!

Hey Julie! What a nice shed they sent you and great job your hubby did on putting it together and organizing the stuff for you. I also am from Texas and in the general area that you are in and thought I better remind you of our Texas pest that will definitely get into all your pretty stuff and ruin it all. I would suggest if no pets can or will get in the shed I would put Rat and Mice Bait out inside the shed and inside the totes. One that really works is called "Just One Bite" (Amazon has it)... it is a yellow bar that kind of looks like a corn cob. You can break it in half or in thirds with a chisel and hammer and what I've done is too use like a solo cup or any little container and put a piece in it to put in each storage tote. Believe me it just takes one bit as it says.. and they usually and hopefully they go outside to die. Then for the Roaches (Yuck!) as we know those big ole Tree Roaches are Texas Size.... plus any of the little other kinds can ruin things with their droppings, so I have found the Big Combat Roach Killing Bait for Large and Small Roaches the big black disc are perfect to put out inside your shed and also inside totes if you want extra protection. They also work so well. I can not stand roaches at all so I do my best to prevent them by using these Combat Discs Everywhere... lol I even put them outside and inside of my window sills and rarely ever see one but occasionally if I do see one of the big tree roaches.. he's usually sick already from getting into the bait. Anyway just wanted to share these things hoping to prevent you from all your found treasures getting ruined...

I laughed and laughed and laughed….then Hunny came in and said hmmm, that wouldn’t begin to hold all your Christmas let alone fall and spring! That’s why I was laughing you see. Julie, I have 90 boxes of Christmas alone without the 4 trees, 2 snowmen, big sleigh and the sled. Takes me about 31/2 weeks to get Christmas up which is why I wait so long to take it down. While it’s a lovely game plan for most I fear my husbands barn loft will NEVER be his. I agree with you on how hard it is to get stuff down but I love all my seasons and Christmas is my absolute favorite time of the year. I still thrift but I try to refrain from any more Christmas decor even though Hunny NEVER complains or says no. I have such a hard time letting go of our treasures but we are in our 60’s and 70’s so the day will come when it’s all going to come to a screeching halt…I do dread that day!!!:):):)
