Wow, I loved all the MCM in that house! For the second day it was a tad messy. They should have the estate sale staff walking around tidying up.

My mom had that same bag, she made it from a kit. I think hers was from Lee Wards, a huge craft company now closed. She made a couple as gifts but kept the peacock for herself. I never saw her use it. My mom was an expert crafter and did everyrhing. She didnt like to knit but knew how. Quilting, crochet (from afghans to tablecloths) tatting, embroidery, needlepoint, cross stitch, Candlewicking, garment sewing for all 4 of the kids and herself... she did it all masterfully. She even made those aquarium gravel pictures! Sorry, I didnt mean to gush about her, came to tell you about that purse, lol.

Yes, you should have asked for the pricing on some of the Furniture, and learn how to reposture. That way you'll save money and Choose the Color of Fabric. Walmart dies sell Appostery fabric.

I knew pretty lady in the early 1970's that carried that peacock purse to church and it looked so pretty with her outfits. That purse brought back lots of memories I had forgotten about.

Eyebrow action! Too bad that tile was damaged. That creature on the tile is a southwestern Native American god or deity called an Avanyu. The only reason I know this is because my first MCM lamp I bought had that image. I was clueless about till I researched it. A southwestern MCM lamp! I will send you pics of the lamp to your gram. You know, I never realized there was a big Southwestern style following out there, till I saw this lamp! 😂

It looks like the attic of an estate sale I was at last winter - everything just ripped open and trashed. People are so disrespectful I still managed to find all kinds of good stuff in the last hour of the sale though in that mess. 🙃

Jeremy, you need to practice your pronunciation of Estée Lauder. I promise, I am not making fun of you. Also, the words "pattern" and "modern" have two syllables, not three (I know, it's the New York accent).
