You can wear the shien and blue sweater with a more flared, circle, or a line skirt. to balance out the proportions. Because the sleeves are poofy. Then you can add a belt, but make sure the tops are tucked in. Great buys! I love the Italian silk top, wool skirt and lace top.

I'm 60 and I'll just give you my take it how i wear things...I like the white lace top, looks nice on you! With A button up blouse do a little front tuck just on one side.. leave the rest untucked. You can also do A little front tuck with the sweater, just the front! Don't wear the belt, just wear it as is or do the tuck! Wear the lace tip with jeans! You should also try A wide leg jean or a boot cut. The black sweater looks good with the skirt. If you wear A tee with the skirt, wear sneakers. I love clothing and even tho I'm 60 and a grandma, i don't wear grandma clothes😄 I'm a jeans, sweats or leggings with a tee or hoodie person on the daily. I dress my jeans up sometimes. But I'm not A dressy person, i love to be comfortable but still look nice. Enjoyed the video!😊

New to your channel - great video, Heather. I am a clothes horse and love fashion, my take (66 years young) is to keep it fun and mix it up ! That black wool skirt is needing some black combat boots or some fun cowboy boots. Also I think if you tried some of your "new" sweaters that are somewhat closer fitting with some wider leg or at least boot cut jeans it would look great on you. Lose the belts with the sweaters, it looks too contrived and not authentic. For some style advice online look up Kristen Cain Style - she is amazing. And I am of the same mind as some of the other commenters - it is perfectly OK to buy fast fashion brands at the thrift store as you are saving one more garment from the landfill. You found some very beautiful and flattering pieces and thanks for taking us along with you.

Hi Kim! You give great advice and I will go check out Kristin Cain tonight! I do enjoy a few style channels here on KZbin, but I am a bit more conservative than some of the gals I enjoy watching..... so am trying to find outfits that feel "put together" (and not so casual) but not too "performative". All the while wanting it to be flattering and fit well. Its a quite a challenge!🤣🤣

Hi Heather , I would ditch the belt on the flowered shirt and leave as is. The blue sweater also but add a long pearl necklace. The black shirt is gorgeous tucked or loose but not tied. Add a vintage necklace or brooch. I don’t care for the skirt outfit. With lace shirt would look better with jeans. Your figure is amazing. Be happy with that.

I love the lacy white blouse. I would ditch the belt with the floral top, but I really like it with the blue sweater. You can pretty much get away with wearing anything. I also like the tee shirt with the skirt and boots.

Whenever I come across an item of "fast fashion" that i really like, i buy it. I figure, I didn't support the fast fashion industry by buying it new, rather i supported whatever mission or cause the thrift store supports. Besides, better i love it and take it home then it wind up in a landfill. Hope this point of view makes you feel better. The top is adorable by the way. 😊

I think my favorite piece was the white lace shirt. You will have fun with that. The puffy sleeve shirts look great on you and so stylish. I also wish that suede skirt was priced separately because it looked great on you and would be fun to style.

I liked the thinner belt with the floral top just cause the pattern is already kind of busy. the second option with the skirt is definitely better than the "school marm" look lol. i do like it with the graphic tee too and maybe you could add a denim or leather jacket too to maybe edge it up if you want that. I like the black belt with the blue sweater, i think you should add a necklace with that. i like the lace shirt outfit, works well. the black silk shirt is great, i think you could add a colored blazer, or a cropped leather jacket would be cool too :)

Fun video! I have slowly been going though my closet and weeding out what I don't wear. Most of my wardrobe is black and white, but since I stopped dying my hair (my coloring is the same as yours) the white washes me out. I did keep a few classic pieces that I can add a scarf/jewelry to brighten up. That said, jewel tones are a must for us silver sisters. I love the blue sweater ensemble. Not only for the color, but for the 80's influence. Also glad to see I am not the only one that tries on clothes over my clothes at the thrifts.😉

I am 69 so definitely over 50. I have always loved fashion and styling clothes. Here is my take. The first two tops, no to the belts. Instead do a little French tuck into the front of your pants only. It gives the waist a little definition. Tucked out they just make a line across your hips. Hey 2nd hand fast fashion is fine. The blue sweater is a beautiful color on you. The skirt looked great with the black sweater, again do that front tuck to just define your waist. I would wear the lacy white top with just jeans. Love the silver bowl you got.

I feel your struggle! Ughh, I feel the same and at this age it's hard to feel stylish and not look like a 25 y.o. or that were trying too hard. Honestly, you look good in so many of those pieces and styled well together. My sister in law has beautiful hair your color and whites around her face just wash her out, but styled under a brighter color looks really good. By the way, the green jacket looked stunning on you and your face lit up. Tfs and I liked this video.
