So, your denim jacket. I’m 52, so I was a teen in the 80s. When I saw your jacket, 8 thought, oh…stripes from the 1980s. A quick trip to eBay informed me that the jacket is , in fact, a collaboration between Levi’s and a tv show called Stranger Things which takes place….in the 1980s

With the little jewelry box you could have removed the knobs and put wood filler in the heart shape enough to even out the shapes, sand to smooth out and paint the whole box, put the knobs back on and you would never know there used to be hearts on it.

You are right! I hadn’t thought of using wood filler! That would have totally worked. Honestly I already have a jewelry drawer in my dresser that I use to store my jewelry so even though the box was a good price my brain wasn’t even thinking about putting effort into a DIY to fix what I disliked about it lol. But you are very right!

I bought a very similar jewelry box a few months ago. I removed the drawer hardware, filled the heart indents with Bondo, sanded, and painted the entire piece. I applied some floral transfers and then sold it in my booth the very next day. Also, I was drooling over the Jacobean buffet that the broccoli print was lying on! Happy thrifting!

Sewing something like a pillow is a good place to start. I would suggest making one first with cheap fabric so you can figure out exactly what you want to do. Also sewing takes practice but is so much fun.

I’ve heard of painting lampshades but honestly I didn’t know how it if it would work so I just decided to keep looking and see what I could find and it worked out!

I couldn’t believe it when I found it. As soon as I realized I wanted a lamp in that corner that is the EXACT style I had in mind and I couldn’t believe I found it first try. 😍 so thank you Georgie! And I agree, I feel like I’m noticing higher prices on small stuff. It’s weird. And I don’t like it haha.

THE most important thing !!!! with sewing home decor, especially curtains and pillows. You have to take time to make sure the fabric is STRAIGHT before you cut it. It may look straight but use a method to double check. LOVED YOUR VIDEO.

Hello Brooke ..next x n ts ask if they'd take less worse they say is no.....& The chest of drawers I think cute $25 I've got a one simuliar &mine as well stuck too bottom drawer!!!...lol! Also tip: maybe a long basket could of gone in place if drawer I've seen that done over & over w " desparate" pieces .......🦋

With lamp shades keep in mind you can always find a new Harp (the part that comes up from the lamp around the bulb) that sits higher and a shade that size would work (if you hadn’t found the other one)

YOUR not going to believe it but I had the same swivel arm lamp that I gave to my Mother in law years ago. I'm the one who had the white textured lamp and you also found a pleated shade like mine I had. WOW.

Yeah I have thought about it! It’s just sometimes easier to film on the floor so I can spread stuff out and grab everything while showing you and if the camera is too close when I’m on the floor it chops my head off haha 🤣 But I will definitely try to get at least a little closer next time!
