Sometimes a thrifting video is more than just a thrifting video. I am retired, but looking for my "next act." I love fashion and have been thrifting since the 70s. I know I want to do something in this arena, but don't have a lot of confidence I can be successful. Then this video came along that was so affirming for me. I was pleasantly surprised to see you both wearing pieces so similar in style to pieces I own. And your choices in the store are what I would have chosen and have chosen for my closet. I thought, "if my closet is filled with clothes like they are choosing, I might be pretty good at this." And, Lauren, at 63 I still decorate like a teenager. I think you would love my yellow cat figurine from the 60s and the cat lamp I inherited from my grandmothers with light up eyes! This video was just what I needed! Beth and Lauren, I loved your choices! I loved your rapport! A great video that I know I will revisit many times. Thanks!

Oooo that sounds interesting... the cat lamp with eyes that light up... also thrifting in the 70's. I LOVE 70's fashion especially the leather/fur coats, dresses, and blouses/tops, and platforms of course... really anything reflecting the blaxploitation era... the Cleopatra Jones movies are my favorite 70's type of style/style inspired looks and Tina Turner's look in the 70's when she was of Ike and Tina Turner Revue. I can only imagine. I started thrifting in the late 90's when I was in my early 20's.

Love it!!! This vlog was awesome 👌 years ago. i found an 18k gold Gucci watch ⌚️ in Goodwill Mountain View, Ca. Was not working, but I took it to the watch repair and for 35.00 back to alive and still have it. I pay 4.99 dlls. I love to go thrifty and find wonderful things 😊❤

Wow, I'm blown away by your videos on the thrifting and The styling. I was doing that in Denver and I absolutely loved it because the thrift stores were just amazing. Move to Florida and the thrift stores are crap. I'm watching videos and trying to start thinking out of the box and go for a different style. I’m not a stylist, but I know what I like, and just go in with a clear mind, and then consider any items that could be my thing. Whenever I go in with a plan, or expectation, I find zero that I like, and then I leave disappointed. The less hopeful I am, the luckier I seem to be🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Most UK stores aren’t anywhere near as big as US stores, though, so that might be part of it.
