Had my first Goodwill Bins experience last Friday in Des Moines Iowa. Wow! $1.79/#!! I walked out with literal trunk full of wonderful items for DIY& for home decor! $60 very well spent. Yes! The prices at our regular thrift stores in the area have gotten pretty high! For that reason I prefer either the Goodwill Outlet or the smaller independently owned/operated thrift stores.

New subscriber. I am a dedicated Goodwill shopper and I also get severe sticker shock the few times I go into a "regular" store. But I will have to investigate their outlet store. Looks like it will be worth the trip. Just a side note: Had a friend who was appalled that I shopped at Goodwill. Been told by her husband it was just for poor people. My reply was that Goodwill wouldn't be able to keep the doors open if everyone wasn't able to shop there. 😊

A hint for marking off an uneven circular vase--Dee from "She's So Craft Dee" uses black electrical tape because it stretches and will adhere to uneven items and not leak under the tape as you paint it.. I really enjoy your site. Our Goodwill stores do not have as many items as you find in yours, but your transformations have inspired me with some of the things I've found.

One trick for dealing with snags is to light a match, let ot get hot, and then blow ot out. Immediately touch it to the snag close to the surface of the blanket or whatever. It's kind of like cauterizing it. I hopeI explain this well enough.

Hi Jannie! Honestly, since they are just sitting in a vase I have never felt the need to clean them. Looking online it sounds like you can place half a cup of cornmeal or table salt in a bag, then put your flowers in the bag and shake gently. Hope that helps. :)

Here in Australia, our seasons are not as defined as those in the northern hemisphere so we don't tend to decorate specifically for them (except for Christmas, of course). We seem to go fairly quickly from winter to summer. In fairly recent years, Halloween has become more popular here. I love getting ideas from your channel. I recently found a great little wooden tray for half price and I've styled it in my kitchen using your ideas.

The prices you saw at Ross and Marshalls were pretty much the same price at my good will🤯. Needless to say I dont shop goodwill anymore,lol

That’s too bad! Yes, our normal Goodwills are similar pricing, sometimes even more than new prices. If you have a Goodwill Outlet in your area it’s likely worth checking that out! Thanks for watching!
