Watching again as I make my own take on the dark and moody candelabra. I did the wall hanging using my varied supplies (using all of your creations as inspiration of course 😀). U are definitely my favorite go to channel for dark and moody. Also im an addict of gold rub and buff too. I cant only find gold leaf and antique gold in stores. I always see u using different gold colors. Do u know what stores sell the different colors cause my hobby lobby only has those that i mentioned? I dont really order things online.

Was interested in name of thatdark anthropological style decoupage...or source of where you bought it? I agree that the metal piece gets a little lost...What about shadowing some black wax between the swirls and allowing the metal...wouldn't need to obscure it, but put the background in the shadow of the 'sconce'.

Holy Moly 😲 Sharon... that ReDesign with Prima decoupage paper on the second project is SOOOOOO you 💯 I purchased that exact paper when it first came out & the first thing I thought of was you ❣️ I set the paper aside in my studio & I told myself that I was not going to use it until I got inspiration from you on what to do with it! I knew that you would eventually end up purchasing that paper even though you are mostly an IOD girl 😁 I absolutely love KZbin for the fact that it connects us viewers with content creators that have the same interest as us! And in doing so, we (us viewers) build a bond with our favorite creators & ultimately we end up feeling as if we know y'all like y'all are our best friends ❤ It is such an amazing experience all together especially for people like me because I do not get out much to specialize but I feel like I get that "connection" right here in good ole' KZbin 🥰💕

It’s definitely different and I do like some of it. The 'planter'....I am not sure you did that beautiful decoupage paper justice and the planter was lost on it. The one with the hook looked a bit better. Not as busy? Everything else was beautiful. Personally, I am not much of a fan of dark and moody, but you do a beautiful job of it. I just find it a bit depressing. I am also not a fan of gold. I do use it on the rare occasion, but for the most part, there isn't much of it in my home. I live in a barndominium and it really doesn't fit the decor (barnwood look walls, black or brushed nickel light fixtures and brushed nickel pulls and plumbing fixtures). Fortunately, I am able to visualize a substitution when you use gold. That doesn't take away from how well your projects look when they are done, just not my preferred look for some of them.

Hey!In the video where you try candlemaking and they sank a bit, the reason is because the wax has to be brought to 180 degrees f for 20 minutes to “temper” it before you pour. I also find that wax that has already been made into a candle and remelted do not work as well.
