Thanks for watching and commenting! I agree that it's often tough at the Thrift Stores but it is fun to look, sometimes I find some good ones there (like The Beach Boys in VG+ condition). More videos coming soon!

@0:10 Willis Alan Ramsey. Amazing album! Too bad it looks trash but even G copies can be pricey

Yep, good call on the Willis Alan Ramsey... definitely worth going back to snag. Those covers were pretty thin, so you might get lucky and score a clean vinyl copy. It was his first and only record and one of my favorite in the singer songwriter genre.

@@glenninsouthtexas2514 thanks! Heading back soon, but I agree that the cover was pretty trashed but I'll definitely try and hunt it down. Always appreciate the picking tips here!

8:57 Lots of great records. I would have scooped up several there, particularly at that thrift store, like that 'Swingin' Safari' record by Bert Kaempfert even though I already have a copy. It's a fun one for sure. :)

Thanks for the comment! It's tough to leave some of them behind but that's what makes thrifting so fun.

Cool video. I'm sure we'll cross paths digging for vinyl. I hit that same goodwill recently and was suprised to find some Aerosmith and Kiss records.

Thanks for watching! It's always a thrill to find some great stuff at Goodwill, and it sounds like you got to the great ones before I showed up! I'm sure we will bump into each other soon, I'm always on the hunt, and still enjoying the records I bought from you, my friend.

Like the holiday background music for this one. That Annie OST is an unusual find. Did I see you pick up a naked Columbia Bob Dylan disc at Goodwill? Some of those old folk albums really brought me back to childhood. OMG, I hadn't seen a Fugs album in decades! I'm feeling a little better because I sold some of the LPs I picked up by serendipity. Plus I got a couple Beatles and a few CCR.
@mountainmanpicker13 күн бұрын
Good job on your pickups of Beatles and CCR, I almost never leave those behind when the price is right. I had to add some music (reluctantly) due to the loud copyright elevator music in the background at the thrift stores, glad you liked it 👍🏼 yep I think that was a naked Bob Dylan LP (I have several of those) but you just never know what you will find out there, right? Thanks for the comments, my friend.

I never know what you will pick out at antique stores because the price is a tad hard to see. I can guess 75% of the thrift.
@mountainmanpicker6 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! I should probably throw the prices out there upfront on the thrift stores but I will tell you this: the ARC thrift store prices on 50% off senior day is an average of $1-2 per LP. The Goodwill records are almost always $2.99 per LP. Hope that helps, thanks!

C'mon Dinosaurs! VINYL IS DEAD! Just look at the landfill in this video. The selection of music on vinyl is absolutely horrendous. I'm embarrassed to be a baby boomer when I see behaviour like this. Expand your Music world fools! Go Digital! Ditch the crappy format!!
@mountainmanpicker11 күн бұрын
Lol ... I believe in using all formats of music, but Vinyl is definitely not "dead" ... huntng for vinyl treasure is something that brings great pleasure to many of us, so maybe you should start a digital format only KZbin channel? Thanks for watching!
