Well it's a bit late now but, That Lionel transformer you found is actually worth a good bit or money, Dirty or not I've never met one that doesn't work. Easy $70+. The ZW model is the most popular, It has a lever on each side with a little flop up lever next to each big one. In clean working condition it's a $150 transformer

Why not just sell the VCRs on Ebay? Higher profit margin if you are factoring $20 to $30 for the remotes. Do you shoot for higher gross vs higher margin?

You can return stuff to goodwill. Id you buy games with missing pieces you have 2 weeks to return. you won't get your money back but store credit.

I don't think companies have the time or resources to come after you for selling 1 copy of their book, boardgame, etc. They may threaten to sue, but if you cease, they aren't going to follow through.

Of course they'll always settle before it ever gets to court. It's just scare tactics and is not a whole lot you can do because Amazon holds all the keys

NJ is frustrating. Been to multiple stores in various areas and its usually overpriced antiques and junk. Old lady stuff. Even garage sales and no name thrift stores suck. I don't ever find sealed video games or board games just dollar store puzzles missing pieces

Clean what? VCR? Or the games, or both? For the VCR I use Good off, clean the outside and if I want to go farther, I will unscrew the screws, open the top up and use a air spray, I have an electronic one, and blow out all the dust and touch it up carefully with my cleaning spray. I use micro fiber cloths. To get rid of the price tags, I bought a cheap heat gun off ebay and use that to heat up the glue on the sticker. I heat it up a little bit and it makes it so much easier to come off, if any residue is left, then Goof Off usually gets it off.
