You'll be surprised with those coats Charlie. Around Xmas time can get a little chilly up there in the evenings. Locals will even sit round fires outside. I kid u not 🌨can even drop to freezing at night due to high altitude in places around CM mate

The people who tell you to speak Thai, probably have never been to Thailand, or do not realize how difficult Thai is to pronounce for native English speakers. They have to understand that speaking Thai with a horrible accent, without using proper tones is just cringe. I understand if a person is a polyglot, but most of us are not. I speak survival Japanese and understand it to the beginning intermediate level and Japanese people still try to speak English to me when I'm in Japan, and there are way less English speakers there. I think those t-shirts are kind of expensive, but since Nike is a US brand, it's cheap in the thrift shops and the markdown stores. I love Chiang Mai so I can't be sad that you're back.

9:38 Bro you in the land of coconuts, get a fresh one haha 😁 Check out the pork leg and rice at the cowboy hat lady too, famous spot around the North Gate 😉 Oh and you might like the water canyon park! edit: Oh another tip, I often carry the mini spirit bottles you get on flights in my pocket (vodka, tequila, rum, gin) and then I buy fruit shakes and add them in while I'm on the go. My favourite is pineapple, coconut, mango shake with rum or tequila 😋

English is the global language for communication. Even in India those Indian travelers who can’t speak the languages of other states communicate in “English” with each other . I’ve been to china which was a more conservative country once but it is now recommending the younger generations to prioritize English along with Chinese. I don’t know who is having problem with English. We actually have to be happy that we came in agreement with making english the common language for communication across the world.

You were right about the coats why anyone would need one there is crazy the average yearly temperature is 26.5 degrees. Even the mountain peaks in Thailand average 8 degrees 😂😂 and there isn’t many going up there.
