Fun and informative vlog-style video Josh. Adventure, fun, humor, community, bolos, treasure hunting, maximized & minimal...this had it all. Love the idea of walking and using a backpack. Hey Josh... can you do a video on how you prepare your thrift finds? I'm just wondering how, or if you clean the items you pick up. Do you iron the shirts? Test the electronics? Remove the writing on the bottom of the shoes? Etc. I had mixed feelings about reselling... but now I think it's a good thing. There's so much over production, and wages haven't gone up for the average household in the past 30-40 years that it makes sense to recirculate unwanted items. Seems like a win/win for seller, the buyer and the environment. Great stuff.
@Josh-Kim5 жыл бұрын
I agree that's it's a win-win. There is SO much waste in this world, and resellers help prevent perfectly good product from going to the landfill. I can definitely try to incorporate some of that in future videos. Appreciate the suggestion!

Thanks, Naomi- fellow NJ reseller
@Josh-Kim5 жыл бұрын
Hey Naomi! I use two 1095 USPS priority mail boxes and tape them together to "frankenbox" the guitar hero controller. You can get the 1095 boxes for free from the USPS website. If you make it frankenbox snug, it shouldn't go over the dimensions to push the cost of shipping higher than normal.

I don’t think I could source like that at all. Sometimes I like the look of the items and prices you all find but I forget the ease with locations here. Goodwill alone has over 75 retail locations within 30-45 minutes (even though I am on a semi boycott with them right now with their new pricing lol, tripled prices on what I like and at or above eBay prices. Although I may hit one store next to the house today, 50% off and they still have some old stock and prices of the cello wrap I use with shipping)

Prices were actually a lot better than I was expecting. On average a little higher, but there is definitely a lot of meat left on the bone for resellers. I think you have to do this route on foot and with public transportation though. Tolls, parking, and driving around the city would kill profits.
