Hello Everyone! Its Tiffany with Thrifting Vegas. I shop at thrift stores, estate sales, garage sales and discount stores for items I can resell for a profit on online platforms like eBay, Poshmark and Offer-Up.
Its Friday afternoon and Miley and I decided to try our luck at a different Goodwill. This is the one I visited last year with my dear friends Joe and Nicole of @idflipthat This store has their hard goods section right up front and today they appeared to be prepping for Christmas in July! I found a couple of fun holiday items; a moose candy dish and a penguin martini glass... and then we started filling up the cart with amazing treasure. Thrift with me and learn what to bolo and what to leave on the shelf and why. Among my finds were a vintage miniature metal Cologne Cathedral, an amazing Foo Dog and Chinese Mud Man Bank, a metal Pill Caddy in amazing condition and a gorgeous 222 Fifth floral and bird oversized mug. Tiffany, I have a recommendation for you! So my sister, who lives in AZ, rescued a terrier-mix puppy years back. She took him to those basic puppy training classes. After, she was told to take rattlesnake training for desert safety. Shepards are incredibly intelligent & obviously do amazing things. Bear would get this quickly. They train them to recognize the sound & either pull you back if leashed or alert you to it’s presence. It really is awesome…especially for desert living. Anyways, it popped into my mind w the Bear footage. Sending luv from Brooklyn ❤️

That amber glass is gorgeous. I have a soft spot in my heart for anything Amber. For 2 reasons. When I was in college I studied for a summer in Poland and we went to the Baltic sea which is ground zero for Amber. But also because I was fascinated by my mother's little jar of Avon Topaz cream perfume which she kept on her bureau. That little chip of "topaz" on the lid fascinated me from the very first time I ever saw it.

Just thought I’d give you some back story on the Chinese items. The Fu dog is actually the female with her paw on the cub. The male would sit on the right with his paw on a globe or the world. Not sure on the age, but it looks as if it is trying to imitate the tri-color glaze which is worth a lot. However, it doesn’t look like the real ones I’ve seen in China. But, I am not an expert. The bank is one of the lucky gods named Shouxing. He represents longevity and usually holds a staff and the peach of immortality. Hope I helped a little. Good luck!

It would! I can’t judge the size, but I wonder if that’s a slightly bigger plate at 2:51 that could be used as a platter with those pieces as well? It looks like the same color red, going from memory! Which may mean they don’t match at all! 🤣🤣

Hi Tiffany, there seems to be so many broken pieces on the shelves. In my opinion, I would think that Goodwill would not put out all those broken and chipped items because most people won’t buy them. I certainly wouldn’t buy something that is missing a piece that broke off.

I think they should put them out on a shelf that’s just free or like 25-50 cents maximum. That way people who are willing to repair will take them instead of them ending up in a landfill.

The Chinese old man represents longevity (Shou). There are usually two other figures goes with the set. They are call Fu Lu Shou God. Fu stands for prosperity and Lu stands for status. The paint is not missing on his head. It’s his grey hair. I’m afraid I don’t know much of its value. But he does looks like a very nice piece!

I really appreciate your videos. I work in a Habitat for Humanity thrift store and I love to know if something has value. The vintage pieces, names, I've gotten pretty good at identifying some things. Other workers come to me and ask what I think about items. A lot of times I still have to use Google lens to get an ID on something. I've always enjoyed learning about names on pieces and helping other's know the basic history/value of them.

Hey, Tiffany! Despite the carnage in the shelves, you managed to find some real treasures! Not just one, but TWO of the cake shaped cookie jars! It’s odd, but I had never heard of the company until a couple of trips ago when you found a piece. Always love the amber glass and honorable mention to the poor elephant missing his tusks - he’s a beauty! - but my favorite finds this week are unusual for me, I think. Love the pretty toile mug and that moose! And the Heath sugar bowl is special. Hope Chris had a great Father’s Day. And tell Miley that she’s such a pretty girl there’s no such thing as not looking camera-worthy! It looked like she had her hair pulled back or up (we just got a quick glimpse) and I remember at her age, I always thought I looked better with my hair down. It wasn’t until a few years later that I realized that wasn’t true. Perhaps the same is true for her. I’d love to see the feline plotting for the space in the box that goes on as you’re setting up the haul. In my head I’m imagining a sort of chess game of moves to see who will occupy the coveted spot! 😂 Always love to see those beautiful boys! Bear is looking all grown up! He’s so clever and quite the tease, letting you think he’s going to allow you access to one of those balls then snatching it back up! 🤣 What a character! I’ve missed him on his channel, but I know it must be hard with so much going on and the summer heat! Have a wonderful week!

Enjoy your channel but Annie on the plate isn't Shirley Temple. My dad bought that plate. I'm stuck with it and many others with no idea what to do with them but leave them with all the Precious Moments I bought between 1982 and 1992 to my daughters. I never even took them out of the boxes.

At 9:37 right behind the boot is a light blue pot. It looks irradecent. I fell in love with the color. Not worth much, I'm sure except to me. I just love ❤️ it. And on the bottom shelf below your blue pot and the telescope is a hand crafted plate of a woman in red. I think this is made from material, felt, and rickrack. My brother and I had one each of these from childhood. I lost mine but found his a few years ago just to turn around and drop it. I would have snapped that up for sentimental reasons.
