Glad I could help, great work! I really liked the way everything was explained to make it simple and take it a step above and show some of the meter's features. Very helpful in repairs. Very helpful in knowing if this meter is a good fit for the task. Thanks again

Alkaline batteries always leaks no matter the brand, even ones that says leak proof still leaks. One of my meter corrode because of leakage about 17 years ago and ever since i use dielectric grease in the contacts on every meter i own so no more corrosion, and also every few years check your device if you don’t use it that often. This was easy but sometimes when the contacts connect to the pcb it requires extra work.

Is that acid brush metal? I cut the standard hair brushes down to stiffen mine, but have never seen one made of metal. I've never used a 289 thanks Shane for donating it. Great video. Thumbing- Up 👍

I did use an acid brush that I cut down to make it stiffer exactly as you mentioned with the vinegar. Then with the IPA I used the blue double sided brush with the stainless steel on one end to help in final clean up. It is also anti-static so I will use it with boards with corrosion as well. I do have a link to a similar brush in the comments as well. Thanks for your kind comment!
