Considering there were pills on the kitchen counter, I'm inclined to assume Lisa was going through some seriously crippling hallucinations and her mom gave her those pills with milk because she wouldn't take them with just water. Either way, the story was really scary and the cinematography was brilliant, as always. Always good to see you upload!

But how is it that she's able to run away from the creature while her mom is ringing the door, only for her mom to be the creature/monster??

There's many different possibilities. Off the top of my head: 1. The creature was just playing sick games with Lisa. It could be a ye olden Fey that feeds on negative emotions like fear or despair so maximizing those before actually getting to it's victim is preferable. 2. The creature went into hiding when Lisa's real mom came back and took her place when Lisa fell asleep. 3. There are two monsters that both took on the likeness of Lisa's mom. 4. Some parts or all of this is a nightmare.

9:12 That reminds me of this video I saw. It involved a monster that yells, “Sarah”, and proceeds to look for the victim in their home. They say if you hear “Sarah”, hide, and if possible, call the police. This is really creepy. Great job!

Wow. Had not seen a story or animated story where it fills me with dread and fear in a long time. Like what happened to Lisa's Mother? Was she actually killed and was that her blood that the Monster impersonating her Mother in that glass that tried to make Lisa drink? I know Lisa is just a little kid and all but why can't she just simply sleep without having Milk? I mean when I was a kid if there was no Milk at all when it is night I was just told to just sleep without it and had to accept that there was no Milk at the time. So couldn't Lisa's Mother simple tell her that she can't always rely on Milk to sleep and that going out late at night for Milk isn't really much of an option? I am probably thinking too much on this. lol

That's the likeliest scenario IMO: A monster possessed/killed and impersonated Lisa's mom and tried to make Lisa drink the mom's blood. There's a lot of "ye olden" Fey-like elements with this monster, like the way it tricks and plays sick games with it's victims and had to be let ("invited") into the house despite probably having the keys from Lisa's mom. As for the milk, the mom probably just knew from experience that Lisa would struggle with sleep all night uf she didn't get milk so she figured going to a nearby nighttime grocer was less of a hassle than dealing with her daughter struggling to wake up next morning.

The most likely scenario is that the monster killed/possessed Lisa's mom on her way to get milk and then returned. Not sure if the author meant it but the creature is very much like ye olden Fey monsters from Irish/British folklore. Like how it mimics a person, targets children, plays twisted games to feed on negative emotions like fear, it needed to be "invited" in despite probably having the house keys from the mother etc.
