The video makes a great metaphor for trying to externalize your thoughts and emotions. At first its straight and controlled. But as it gets to the bottom it is messy and starts to flood out in a less uniform way. Letting all the darkness you had trapped inside out in to the world. Or opening up to someone about your internal feelings. From streams, to rivers, to ponds, and Lakes.
