Wow! The Thrive food cans in the 4Patriots ad is an eye opener. I bought 4Patriots on a scared splurge only to realize that my husband who is diabetic cannot eat any of the meals. I tried to research other food companies and was overwhelmed. You have explained the benefits of Thrive so clearly. Now I dont have to do anymore reading. Thrive Life will be my go to from now on. I did that back in the 1970's - 80's to preserve mostly fruit from our garden and trees. It worked well.

That’s what we do. I like the fact that we can buy local, organic. I know right where it comes from. It’s cheaper and healthier I think. We bought a freeze dryer abs it was only 300.00 Good size. We buy fresh all summer long and freeze dry it for winter months. One good thing about buying local is you know where it come from and what’s being dried because your putting it in there :)

Bill.. Your stop the presses moment was hilarious!!! Of course we have to be really careful about ingredients with Larry's Alpha Gal disease, He had bought freeze dried food in 2012 and when we got married in 2013 he had all these sealed up boxes on a shelf in the basement. I asked "What are those?" he responded "Emergency food" I said how do you know you'll like it? He said he would eat anything if he was hungry enough. This summer his son was in a financial crunch and we cracked open one of the tubs and gave him some of the beef and pork meals that Larry can't eat. That was like half a tub gone. I don't want to take the chance that our food will be dangerous for him to eat.

I see 4Patriots as more of a 'bug out' product where food must be prepared quickly with minimal fuel and water. Reminds me of a military MRE. I wouldn't want to live on it for more than a few days but it does have its place.

Great video. I agree, it's a funny marketing blunder that Thrive Life Food is shown in a competitors ad. I do like your analogy of Thrive being like a grocery store but, for freeze dried food. I don't mind pre-prepared emergency food but, it shouldn't be your entire survival haul. P.S- first order with TL arrived. Gonna try making tacos 🌮🎉 (Edit) - 2 hours later. The tacos were amazing. Used the ground beef alongside some freeze dried herbs by litehouse and had it with the black beans, corn, and green beans.

Thrive Life has pre-prepared meals as well. And they're great. But the "problem" with pre-prepared meals is that you can't control what's in them - for people who have dietary issues like gluten free or vegan, or low sodium, etc. That's where Thrive Shines because you can just cook all of your own favorite recipes using Thrive Life ingredients.

It's going to be nice knowing that if another food shortage happens or we have to stay home for a few weeks I'll be comfortable. Now, that I've tried a few pantry cans I'm thinking of getting 1-2 #10 can's a month to slowly build my long-term food storage

With the supposed "dark winter" coming, I plan on purchasing some of the foods that are on sale for August. I hope you to continue to provide us updates on their sales. I'd also like to know what is the safest way to store water. I only have plastic jugs and after a while, they leak. Thank you!

Yes! We definitely need something about storing water! In the area I am from,this past spring and now summer,we have had a lot more thunderstorms and more severe Strom's than normal (Huge trees becoming uprooted,large limbs falling and a lot ending up on power lines,cars and houses.) I had enough water etc stored but the power had went out three different times in two weeks,for days at a time.The last time,they got the electricity back on late at night and another storm came through a few hours later and another large limb fell on line again but this time a pole snapped.They JUST got the power turned on for everyone a few days ago so some people went 8-9 days with no power.I haven't been able to stock back on bottled water or even jugs because people in the area buy them out as soon as they hit the shelves,worried another storm will knock the power out again. It's not just one store, it's all of the stores in my area.

To starchy, fatty and no real meat. Just flavored TVP. The REALLY funny part was the ad at the end of your video. It was a For Patriot ad 😂

Every company tries to better themselves. If they don't, they will die. But the point is that 4Patriots is using Thrive Life as the standard when they try to improve their products.

I have a lot of allergies, so I would buy Thrive. I ignore the pre-packaged meals from 4Patriots. I can never eat that stuff. The only reason I can think of to have a tub of that is if you needed to feed some wayfarers who could eat it rather than stuff for the folks with allergies, and then it would come down to price comparison. I haven't priced 4 Patriots, but I do know Thrive is good food at a good price if you take into account the quality and no waste. We just had 4 fresh peaches go bad overnight--that's waste! You don't get that from Thrive. Bill, good catch spotting Thrive cans in 4Patriots own ad!!! :-D

You can certainly do that if you want. But a home freeze drier costs thousands. And then it will only freeze dry a very small batch at a time. And it takes 48 hours to do that.

There are no other freeze dried food companies that even come close to the quality and even the packaging to Thrive Life. I’ve looked to compare and ALL are pre-assembled meals with few choices and they come in those Mylar bags that seem like they would get crushed. In comparison Thrive Life come in well protected cans with all the food separate so if you have gluten issues it’s not a problem and they even have gf flour! They have so many choices of different veggies, fruits, meats, cheeses and starches in order to make a meal that suits you and your family. I love it!! Lol! At the end of this video I got a 4 Patriots survival food ad 🤣😂

Thrive Life is good for 25 years unopened on the shelf. And it is good for ONE YEAR unrefrigerated after you open it. You have plenty of time to use it up without wasting it!

And ......AND ..... when you empty a Thrive Life can, you have great containers to sort and store nails, screws, nuts and bolts, and other house hold hardware and gadgets in. The are great to use in a sewing and craft room to organize buttons, packages of pins and needles, spools of thread sorted by color in separate cans, etc. You can store packages of seeds, use them for dried flower arrangements, ..... oh so many, many uses for those empty cans. If you are really hand/crafty, you perforate them in decorative ways and use them for luminaries at Halloween and Christmas time, or add an additional hole in the bottom large enough to accommodate a light bulb base and make a string of the to hang from posts around a patio for an interesting lighting arrangement. You can't do any of that quite the same or as efficiently with the food packaging from 4Patriots! :0D

Survival food vs Thrival food. I saw that commercial for Patriot food (a hundred times at least) but didn't notice the Thrive cans (obviously didn't pay close attention). Hilarious! I was going to thank you for making this video even before I watched it because that question has been in my mind for a couple of months. Before I discovered Thrive I ordered 4 Patriots. What a disappointment. I got 1 (one) meat based meal. Tons of rice, pastas puddings, oatmeal. When I complained, they sent more rice. Then I discovered Thrive. Now I am building my own pantry of the foods I like.

Good report! I don't think anyone would argue that Thrive food is the best... I've enjoyed all the products I've been able to buy. BUT, äs for servings /$....well, I'll just say I have a fixed amount I can spend ànd I càn get more with 4Patriots. I will continue to buy Thrive as long as I can...I too, use it daily. I'm don't think of Thrive as meal replacement in shtf situation..for that I go to 4Patriots. I am so grateful to have these choices...we are all and truly blessed! Journey mercies.

All though I would agree that Thrive Life is a better product than 4 Patriot, you overreach with accusations that you cannot prove such as saying that they are using Thrive Life in their meals, or saying that Thrive Life is the standard. Of course they are going to test other products in order to improve theirs. And of course they should have not shown that in their promo video (bad mistake). BUT, companies do this all the time in order to compete in the market, it's called engineering.
