I believe the main theme of this song is Hua Hua wants to express anti-war from a child’s perspective. The child used to lived in an old house with parents and a dog, it was old but filled with love, but now everything is gone, it was a dream for the child to go back to the old good days, but they will be re-united in the heaven. So it’s a song for Peace!

Hua can hold his breath for a very long time, which could be seen in other of his more complex songs. However, Hua mentioned that he changes his style of singing for songs. He once said that in his opinion, his voice is also a music instrument. He adjusts it and sings each song in a way he thinks it would be the best for audiences to feel what he really wants to express, including all his different emotions, influencing the audiences. He is really a unique artist, I'm always impressed by his attitude to music ❤❤ impressive and really brave Hua. He is not afraid of what others would say about him, becuz he knows his abilities well. ❤Hua also said b4 that his body motions are natural, he just follows his mood and the music at that moment. he can't do those second time 😂😂

Appreciate your take on auto tune. Hua's composition are at times complicated to sing even for him. But appreciate his bold effort to make his own unconventional music and make it as authentic and raw voice. As far as Hua's body language, he has always had magnetic quirky body movements that just flows with the mood of the songs. He clams he can't dance, and don't like to, but when push come to shove he definately can nail it.

@throga You should find Hua's cover of Creep. Most renditions of Creep are basically self-loathing. The object of desire is put on a pedestal, but at a distant. But Hua gives a performance (and make no mistake, Hua is a performer, almost as much as an actor on stage as a singer) that is creepy. When you think "what is a creep", it's often from the perspective of target of affection and the creep is just seen as creepy. You're almost scared to be near Hua when he sings "Creep". Yes, his English is not very good when he sings the song, but the emotion is definitely there.

Great reaction, thank you. Some videos you've watched that's from TV shows like Singer 2018 and Singer 2020 all underwent post production editing. He has no control over how he's gonna sound when they air the show. They've done very noticeable heavy editing on "Bullfight" where they suppressed the drum beats and enhanced the treble. Typical old fashion Chinese music appreciation. They also edited the he*l out of him to make him sound polished in some songs. The first time I heard him live on a TV show was during the finale of Singer 2018. His solo performance that night was very impressive. He is not pitch perfect and his vocals might crack or be flat sometimes. BUT IT'S OK!! Some singers are way better than Hua Hua at singing accurate pitch and IT'S OK!! 😁😁 But look at his eyes and body language when he performs. Other singers will act for the feel of the song and I see that in a lot of excellent singers who deliver near pitch perfect vocals. For me, I only listen to Hua's music amongst many great Chinese singers because I rather like his music and how he delivers. But of course there a some of his songs or covers I'm not fond of. But IT'S OK 😘😘😘 Cheers!

This singer is currently facing a lot of hate in his own home, China. Many people there believes he is a "fake", and is just trying to confuse the audience with "seemingly complex things". Im an australian and love Chenyu! since 2018. Well the same thing could be said for other stars aswell like katy perry, she is not doing so good now as her songs are going down the charts and fans are not caring about her anymore, some even said she has no idea she can't write a good song and needs to just lay low. Even with another singer not gonna mention his name, but he could barely sell out a concert in his home town and needs to go overseas constantly to get a career. Even people from his own homeland talk bad about him. During his performance of a traditional song, many people did not care and not alot people appreciated him. Hell there are some female fans of him that don't listen to him anymore and starts listen to other stars aswell. There were even people who wrote things that I read that they don't like him and his voice, like this quote: "I don't like him" and this quote: "He sings like a pussy" and this quote: "His voice hurts my ears" and this 1: "He could barely sell out a small concert in his own country" and this 1: "don't like his style" As for hua chenyu there are 1.4 billion people there where he lives, so ofcourse there will be some jealous haters, its normal and to be expected and even he said if 1 day no 1 care anout his music anymore he will just go and fish. But there are many people still love him, he has been selling out concerts at a very fast rate for 10 years consistantly so he has nothing left to prove, he achieved numerous awards aswell. he can't satisfy the whole world but he satisfied MANY people. I'm a martian myself and love his music!

Just read the comments for this video and read the comments in buy me a coffee site! remember there will always be haters even for this OTHER singer which is featured on this channel. He even now still has the same hater aswell and she is a female not gonna mention her name! I actually did my experiment in australia, taiwan, and new zealand for how many people actually like or know this OTHER singer, guess what? majority of the people I talked to don't even know or care about him. Even my sister laughed at his voice, and asked me this: "why would you want a voice like this, would you wanna talk this?" When you are most ambitious, have you ever wanted to represent something? 🌹: I always have that thought. The works I write are all with the desire to be able to help some people, as for the level of influence or value it brings, along with the scope of impact, I feel there is a difference, but that difference will not be too big. For example, if many people like my work, I am very happy; if only a part of people like it, I am also happy. If one day, this work suddenly becomes famous and is loved by everyone, I will still be happy. My level of happiness is not related to the number of people who love my song. Thanks a lot for yet another reaction to Hua Hua! 😊 Someone in the comments copied & pasted an excerpt of his recent interview with PORT magazine and there's another of his answers that fits what you were talking about with regard to pitch, etc. It is machine translated, so hopefully, it's not too far off from the original meaning. See below! Other than that, I've already recommended his Healing Trilogy (I really want myself back, Meet when Flowers Fall, Let's go watch the sunrise together) as a continuation to the Mars Trilogy (I really want to love this world, Madhouse, Conversations with Chrildren from Mars) you already reacted to (see my comment there). But I think it'd also be quite interesting to see you react to "When the Whole World Forgets Me". When you go to the "Hua Chenyu English Subs" channel and search for the song title, select the video with "official" in the title (there's only one with "official" in the title). That would be the official concert music video from last year's Mars Concert. The official concert videos do tend to have way better audio than fancams, which is to be expected, even though you reacted to a fancam of "Warm House" here. But then again, this particular fan group ("marscaotai" here on YT) has the most mind-blowing fancams with regard to video and audio quality and editing! Anway, I digress...thanks again! I love HuaHua's little imperfections. It makes it real and authentic. He puts conveying the emotions over "perfect" singing. Thank you for this reaction, I really love this song, it is so evocative and gently melancholic without being melodramatic. I enjoyed your comments, personally I find that some technically perfect performances can feel sterile and soulless. I have seen a lot a really big names over the years, and the ones that left a lasting impact were those who focussed more on emotion than those who focussed on the technicalities. When I watched a performance where he battled through a song with tears visibly streaming down his face it left such an impact on me seeing a performer immerse themselves into the music to such an extent they lived the song, Sometimes I am amazed he actually finishes the songs, but he is not afraid of it, and those who understand love him for his open honesty (his mistakes are usually fun to watch too) 🌺🌺

Aloha Richard and Johnny! I love Hua Hua for all his imperfections; which I am usually not aware of anyway. I love it; because as you say, I am more sucked into the mood or vibe that his song needs him to be at! Otherwise, Hua Hua wouldn’t be the unique out-of-the- box performer, that we love about him! He is a total master and genius of his craft and him being the top artist in China speaks for itself! No other artist creates the sometimes weird and magical sounds that only Hua Hua creates! It goes perfectly with is weird contortions as the song requires! Ok, that is my spiel on this subject!
