Korea was dropped from the F1 after 2013 because the Korean GP organizers deemed it was too expensive to host an F1 race. They tried many negotiations with FIA but none of them worked in the end. They tried to plan to get Korea back in 2016, but the plan was scrapped. The original $250 million plan for the track was so ambitious, and the terrible location of the track and the horrible pit entry and exit didn't do much favors. Extremely unlikely F1 will go back to Korea anytime soon.
