In case the guys at throtl don’t know, just driven and their crew have perfected the body kit better than even the original bomex kit. They have made molds and will be selling 6 kits I believe. I doubt their kits will need much if at all any fitment with the hours they’ve pit in and with them being hand made.

yes, that coating is to help prevent rust, it just protects the bottom of the car. it's on a lot of cars that are not in a state that's usually relatively warm like more eastern, or northern or Midwest cars... basically any car that isn't from the West Coast

dude i swear my friends dad worked on this car! when i gave my friends car a rundown to it it do a long distance trip and i got to see all the lovely work his dad did to it, it was riddled with wire ties, zip ties, hose clamps and duck tape (gaffers tape).

While there are a few issues, especially the wiring...it's pretty cool to look at the old tech and how things were done in the 90's. The protentional here is through the roof. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with.

OEM plus the gauge cluster and HVAC controls to throtl standards! Talk to Stu Hagen he does all the MKIV clusters and HVAC controls. And ditch triple pod gauge for a multi can gauge 52mm in the clock position.

I would keep purified water jugs at the shop for cases like this where you run into leaking cooling systems. It's cheap and you can diagnose leaks. Also the cooling temp sensor plays a role in the tuning algorithm for starting, after-start and running operations💪

the undercoating is probably a few coats of oil spray. im from ontario, and we usually get it sprayed to hellp prevent rust from weather and road salt in the winter

that beeping is a built in radar detector. i have one in my lexus sc400. same exact sound and it's a $1200 factory option. there should be a knob behind the steering wheel on top somewhere to switch it on and off

Get the racing hart m5's. They made the supra. Honestly I think you should use a mixture of OG early tuner parts and newer parts. However the most important piece is the trunk audio. That was a massive part of the original supra

The radiator is toast, that sucks, but good you found it !!! It might have been why the previous engine was rebuilt. The water temp sensor is high in the system, so when there is a leak, and the level gets low, the sensor on the dash and ECU is no help. The sensor only reads water passing by, not hot air/ steam. Hope to see a render of the idea of this build coming up!

here in the rust belt we do underbody coating as well as chassis oiling for maintaining a rust free chassis. those who don't. will rot in a winter. or two.... if its Ford half a year not even winter because they now use dozens of pop can thin metals spot welded which just wicks and traps water rusting out everything.

I always run steel lines with short flexible steel braided lines at each end. That is the only proper way to run fuel lines.

MK4 are really expensive so I would keep it close to OEM with just some modern upgrades. Rebuild the engine with quality parts. OEM+ build is my suggestion. It's already been modded so just make it super clean with modern parts.

Do a full rebuild. By full, I mean strip the car down to the bare minimum and respray underneath and inside for the noise dampening and such. Complete bottom and top end rebuild of the engine. All new wiring, AC, cooling, etc. I personally would like to see a F&F build similar to the Eclipse. However, if you do not want to do that, at least keep the looks late 90's early 2000's street racing style. Body kit and such. NOT a track car. I imagine these cars are becoming more and more rare and the last thing I would like to see is another one taken off the streets.

I’m a young car guy and my dad and I are working on restoring his 1985 Honda CRX after sitting for years after he had kids He had the Japanese engine swapped in so it already has a couple issues because engine swap but it used to start right up with only a jump start after 10+ years but now somethings going on where the car is cranking but it doesn’t wanna start and we believe it’s a fuel issue My dad has a couple small mods to it from when he used to use it as a cruise car/ weekend drag car (K&N filter, lighter flywheel, integra transmission, suspension and brakes, etc.) We found a place that sells 100% pure gasoline near us Will that (possibly) help with the fuel issue?
